"From the room you can hear the Aircarft departing and Landing"
The Hotel is not far from Abu Dhabi Airport. Airport Taxi fare can be 38 AED. The check in at dramatic, but than smooth. The room I had arrived at 2:30am was on the 2nf floor. I was lying in bed and could hear the aircraft arriving and departing fro Abu Dhabi Airport. I had this hotel booked for two days, and check out the same day.
"Great hotel good facilities nice position"
10 mins from airport. Nice view over golf course to sea. Great bar/ restaurant Stills. Lots of other options to eat and drnk close by including yas narina. Close to f1 circuit and water park. 30 mins from down town hotels along corniche . Felt comfortable and rested here
We wanted to go to Ferrari world and we chose to stay close by in this hotel. Checkin was quick and comfortable. Room got upgraded due to my status and we got a lovely view of the golf course and the sea. Room is small and to shower one has to step into bath tub. Shower area needs upgrading and the towel rack was coming off the hooks!! There is shuttle bus for those going to visit nearby sights.
"Excellent Hotel and good location on Yas Island "
This Hotel is inline with several other at Yas Island. Next to the Du Arena, close to Yas Beach, Yas Mall, the F1 Race track, Ferrari world and Waterworld. Everything can be reached easily by taxi for a few AED or by the free shuttle bus provided. The hotel has a garage below and provides all amenities to include spa and spa treatments. There is a nice pool area behind the hotel that is good to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather in Abu Dhabi. Dining could be at the hotel, or any of the other restaurants around in walking distance. The airport is reached in less than 15 minutes which is very convenient. Comprehensive breakfast buffet and friendly staff. We felt very good taken care of and it was already out second time at this hotel. Good choice.
"A hotel in distress !"
I believe our first visit was some 6-7 years ago, since then we have been very regular visitors and indeed have offered positive reviews on more than one occasion. Our latest stop only served to highlight the way this former star of Yas Island is in serious decline. The check in experience and the staff on the desk are as ever charming, friendly and most helpful. The hotel layout is basically L shaped. On one leg one can find 4 lifts each one of which now requires a room card to move either up or down. The up side is understandable from the security standpoint, the need for a card to go down can only be described a potential and most serious hazard. On the other leg of the L the solitary lift is for staff only, a crazy if I am kind, misuse of the elevators. If it is necessary to segregate the porter from the clients then dedicate one of the four that are grouped together and allow the customers to avoid the need to constantly walk all around the building. In days past the single elevator was never the subject of guest exclusion. Much has changed recently, either short sighted local management decisions or directives from those in power in the IHG group. The hotel corridors used to be the subject of pleasing Arabic perfuming, the carpets looked clean and bright. The perfume has been withdrawn, the carpets in dire need of either replacement or cleaning. The room interiors are also showing wear, we had two rooms. One had wardrobes that did not and could not be closed and both had table desk tops with the laminate tops blowing. The bedding, pillows and towels remain of high standard and are changed daily. IHG constantly bombard their members with the advantages they can experience well most of those formerly on offer have now been withdrawn. There is now no fruit in club rooms, no newspapers at weekends, no restaurant discounts, and no longer are guests provided with the signature sleep advantages. In general there is little reason to pay the rates for a hotel that is no longer offering its guests value for money. It has become an expensive venue for those wishing to stay on Yas Island, neighbouring properties now offer a much better deal.
