"Solid hotel, clean, good food"
Clean room, on the small size, but not too bad. Good sized bathroom. Double beds turned out to be two twins. The breakfast is generous and the restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Very close to the metro and only 6 minutes from the airport, maybe 15 to central station Amsterdam,
"Brilliant, charming and professional service"
Stayed here for one night on business. Arrived late to find I'd mislaid my prescription reading glasses somewhere between Schiphol passport control and the hotel. The front of house team went out of their way to locate the taxi I took from the airport, called the driver who searched for and found my glasses. They were then brought back to the hotel by the kind taxi driver. Disaster averted! The team was terrific and I'm not sure I thanked them enough! The hotel itself is cookie-cutter but the staff truly make it special.

"Top for business traveler"
The place is well situated between airport to the business area. The place is nice and well maintained. The employees are very thoughtful. The rooms are well equipped and have good size. The breakfast is correct but a bit expensive.
"Front desk staff took this from very good to excellent"
Firstly, this is a convenient hotel if you are flying into or out of Schiphol. The train connection between the airport and the Amsterdam Zuid station is quite quick and frequent, and the hotel is only about 1 1/2 blocks away from the Amsterdam Zuid station. The hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere, however. (Well, it is in the middle of a modern office area, but not close to the tourist attractions). It still worked well for tourist things, however. For access to downtown Amsterdam you can use the train to get to the main downtown train station, or you can catch the tram at the tram stop near the Amsterdam Zuid train station, for a slower but more interesting ride into downtown Amsterdam. The hotel itself is modern, the rooms are quite spacious, they are very clean, and overall everything is very comfortable. The breakfast is quite expensive but excellent. If you are a breakfast person, it might be worth the cost (for me it was); if you're not, you are likely better off going to the nearby train station to get some pastries and coffee. The cost overall was reasonable, although checking on the website now if appears that the cost varies a lot during the year. At some times of the year, this hotel would not be a good value; at other times, it is. What moved this hotel from very good to excellent was the helpfulness of the front-desk staff. I unfortunately was booked into a room with a connecting door to the next room, and my next-door neighbours were very noisy (loud TV, etc). This continued past 12 PM, so I asked the front-desk staff if it would be possible to move to a different room. They immediately checked, and booked me into a different room, which had no connecting door and was very quiet. Thank-you! I would certainly stay here again, but this time I would ask for a room without a connecting door.
