"Old, but does the job"
This is a nice hotel with good service and a high level of attention, however the facilities are quite dated and old. Rooms can be quite small and feels 'cosy'. The breakfast buffet has some great options both Western and Chinese. The location is great with some tourist attractions very close and easy to get to.
"Outdated but great location"
Great location on Wangfujing, in walking distance of the Forbidden City. Outdated building, a bit dirty and service more of a "1980s Beijing-style". English capabilities of staff are limited. We checked in at 2 am in the morning and had a bit of a hard time with changing rooms etc. Good executive lounge.
Distinguished hotel, very good and efficient personnel. Rooms at higest floors are offering nice panoramic view. Rooms are generous, well equipped. Fast Wi-Fi, not common in China. Restaurant is very good.
"Needs an update"
Spent two days at the Crowne Plaza Wangfujing on a recent business trip. Very good location and close to The Forbidden City and Tiananmen square. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The main lobby area was ok and the restaurants both Eastern and Western were very good. The rooms however, were very dated. I was upgraded to a Deluxe room on arrival, but the room was so hot, it never really cooled down to a comfortable temperature during my stay. The air conditioning was not worthy of the name and you could not open the windows as they were screwed shut. The be was comfortable, but the fitting were old and worn and the bathroom needed some TLC.
"Its pretty good"
Great location. A walk down to the food alley, shopping is ok nearby. The local quan ju de duck place is very forgettable. The one in i think its heping or next to heping zhan is the real deal. Service is not good compared with capital airport crowne plaza. Otherwise no real complaints. I would stay again
