"Nice hotel in the Potsdamer Platz region"
Stayed for 3 nights in March and enjoyed my stay. Check in very efficient and was able to get to my room straight away despite my very early morning arrival which was great. Had a room on the 5th floor which is the top floor and rooms have an attic feel but not much of a view. I personally liked it but something to be aware of. Rooms are a good size with hard wood floors instead of carpet giving them a nice and clean yet comfy feel. Great bathroom with massive walk in shower and a good working desk. Good breakfast selection in the morning. 24hrs gym in the basement with a good range of gear and sauna/ steam room facilities with restricted hours. Good access to public transport at Anhalter Bahnhof and Moencke Bruecke which are both only a 5min walk away from the hotel. All in all a very pleasant hotel in a city that offers a lot of choice in a location that is slightly off the beaten track. If you want to be right in the heart of the action it's maybe not the place for you but if you don't mind walking or taking public transport the this is a good choice with easy access to anywhere in the city. As long as pricing is attractive and competitive I would have no hesitation recommending the hotel.
"Very good experience"
On business trips, it's quite hard for hotels to differentiate. The key thing is to get all the basics right and not to get things wrong. This hotel was great for that. Nice room, good wifi, breakfast, meeting facilities etc. They excelled when, due to the airport strike, I needed help finding a way home. The concierge Kai spent ages looking for a combination of planes and trains to get me back. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
"Break in central Berlin"
Chose this hotel, mainly as a result of value for money (through Booking.com) when compared to facilities. The location was very good, especially for those who are wanting to spend time in the historic tourist area, particularly close to Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie and the holocaust memorial and museum. Upgraded on arrival which was a nice touch. Never used the health facilities (sauna, gym or steam room) but looked quite good. Excellent breakfast included in room rate. Staff made a difference at this hotel; very attentive and prepared to go the extra to make your stay worthwhile. Nice clean hotel lobby, bar area, restaurant. Room was very nice, and free wifi throughout my stay that was very reliable. Really enjoyed my stay, and would not hesitate to use this hotel again. 10 min stroll down to Potsdamer Platz which has lots to see and do. Good restaurants and shopping facilities. Also close to the Berlin Philharmonie.
"Christmas market weekend"
Situated away in a quiet location which is very welcomed when you have spent many hours in a crowd be it at the Christmas markets or just sightseeing. The location is a few minutes walk from Potsdamer Platz metro, and in fact we were able to walk to so many tourist attractions. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The walk-in rain shower is amazing and perfect for relaxing a tired body! Thank you for a great stay!
"Best business hotel in DE"
I've been to this hotel twice for a week, for business. The hotel is situated right opposite Potsdamer Platz which is the older post office in Germany, hence the name. During the time I spent in the hotel I needed to stay in my room for two days straight in order to prepare myself for an important meeting. During these two days I had special requests such as wire connection and a monitor. It was not a very simple and straight forward request but I was amazed by how the staff at reception helped me with getting set up as quick and as efficient as possible. Getting into an optimal working atmosphere at a hotel room isn't easy, unless you get help from well experienced staff who came across these requests before - excellent business hotel. Other than that - they have a nice business lounge (complimentary for Spire members) where during happy hour you can find some cheese, cabbage salad and small sandwiches. There is a wonderful restaurant downstairs where you can find fantastic food made out of fresh ingredients in an open kitchen. I loved that restaurant and didn't feel the need to leave the hotel at all. Breakfast was great. Room service is as quick as a 25 minutes average. The hotel locks its doors at 11PM and you need to use your card to get in after that time. Reception always has someone available 24/7, which was great when I needed more coffee at 1AM in the morning! The only issue I faced was the WIFI which was has hang ups while i was connected remotely, my session had to be restarted with every hang up which is why I asked reception to assist me with connecting via the wire. It took some time to receive the password but eventually I was able to continue working. The staff really made every possible effort to assist so honestly I can't tell how I would have managed without them. Overall - this is a true business hotel that helped me to achieve my business goals. Will definitely stay again.
