"Best business hotel in DE"
I've been to this hotel twice for a week, for business. The hotel is situated right opposite Potsdamer Platz which is the older post office in Germany, hence the name. During the time I spent in the hotel I needed to stay in my room for two days straight in order to prepare myself for an important meeting. During these two days I had special requests such as wire connection and a monitor. It was not a very simple and straight forward request but I was amazed by how the staff at reception helped me with getting set up as quick and as efficient as possible. Getting into an optimal working atmosphere at a hotel room isn't easy, unless you get help from well experienced staff who came across these requests before - excellent business hotel. Other than that - they have a nice business lounge (complimentary for Spire members) where during happy hour you can find some cheese, cabbage salad and small sandwiches. There is a wonderful restaurant downstairs where you can find fantastic food made out of fresh ingredients in an open kitchen. I loved that restaurant and didn't feel the need to leave the hotel at all. Breakfast was great. Room service is as quick as a 25 minutes average. The hotel locks its doors at 11PM and you need to use your card to get in after that time. Reception always has someone available 24/7, which was great when I needed more coffee at 1AM in the morning! The only issue I faced was the WIFI which was has hang ups while i was connected remotely, my session had to be restarted with every hang up which is why I asked reception to assist me with connecting via the wire. It took some time to receive the password but eventually I was able to continue working. The staff really made every possible effort to assist so honestly I can't tell how I would have managed without them. Overall - this is a true business hotel that helped me to achieve my business goals. Will definitely stay again.
"Clean, quiet business hotel"
I stayed at Crowne Plaza Potsdamer Platz for 3 nights during a conference in Berlin. The hotel is very quiet, and the rooms were very clean. Unfortunately my queen bed was two double beds pushed together. This is my second time encountering this in Berlin, and I found it very uncomfortable. Housekeeping did a great job of coming in as soon as we left (even if it was later in the day). The location is not great (nothing to eat nearby and it's pretty dead in the area in general.. you can walk to some attractions like the Topography of Terror), but you can take the nearby subway to get around. If you're taking a cab, make sure you clarify that you want to go to Crowne Plaza Potsdamer Platz–there are two Crowne Plazas in Berlin.
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 2 nights in February 2017 and would certainly recommend it. The hotel is in a good location; both in being accessible from the airport (I travelled from Schönefeld) and travelling around the city. It's served by good communication links and I was able to walk or take the train everywhere. My room was modestly sized but with excellent use of the space. Consequently, it in no way felt cluttered but rather an optimum size. Decor is contemporary and good lighting exists throughout the room. At the time of writing, some construction work was being undertaken near the hotel but it only resulted in negligible noise (no more than you'd expect from passing traffic) during my stay. The bathroom was again compact but an ideal size. The shower was brilliant with great pressure and towels were of a reasonable quality. Lighting too was very good with a ample sized mirror. WiFi in the hotel was very good and didn't drop once throughout my stay. As with most complimentary hotel WiFi, it wasn't the fastest but easy to connect to and one of the better complimentary hotel WiFi connections I've used. The hotel gym is a decent size and they have a range of machines and weights. A sauna is also available. Cleanliness was apparent in both my room and the communal areas of the hotel. Similarly, the staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza and would definitely stay here again if returning to Berlin.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was really great. It's in a quiet location, close to a metro stop. The rooms are fresh and clean. The hotel staff is very helpful and professional. The one problem we had was with parking - we had a car and had no where to leave it. In the end we parked on the street. The hotel is worth of a recommendation.
I'm just home after a 5-night stay at your hotel for a business trip. Had to write to share how wonderful your staff was, they couldn't have been more kind and helpful! I managed to drop my phone in a toilet at a late-night business party, got back to the hotel at 2 am and there was only one gentleman at the desk. I explained my situation and he volunteered to bring a bowl of rice to the room. And the next morning one of your staff found a bag in the kitchen so I could keep the phone in rice and carry it back on the plane in rice. The happy ending is that I don't have to buy a new phone, and I"m very grateful to your staff for going above and beyond to help!
