The Crowne Plaza Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel at the airport is the favored choice among cruise-goers, business travelers and event attendees, located less than one mile from Ft. Lauderdale Airport (FLL), Port Everglades and the Broward County Convention Center.

"Good choice for a pre/post cruise hotel."
We stayed at the Crown Plaza Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port for 1 night pre-cruise. It was chosen because of the mainly favourable reviews and the very good price available to IHG Rewards members. The exterior and lobby are quite nondescript but our room was quite roomy and nicely equipped with comfortable beds, lot's of TV channels and good WI-FI. The only complaint was that the carpet needed shampooing as my white socks can attest too. We had requested early check-in but our room wasn't ready when we arrived around noon so we changed into our shorts using the lobby washrooms and left our luggage with the bellman. We had lunch in their restaurant/bar located on the 5th floor. The Club sandwiches were huge and 1 would have been enough for both of us. We then caught the city bus ($1pp for Sr) up to Los Olas Blvd where we wandered around a bit and ended up taking a wonderful 90 minute inter-coastal tour on the Carrie B. We enjoyed dinner at the Riverside Hotel and took a taxi back ($10). The hotel offers transfers to the port for approx. $10pp but a taxi is faster and cheaper. Overall this hotel would be a good choice for a pre or post cruise stay but be aware that there is really no shopping or dining choices within walking distance, which is why I didn't rate it higher.
"Well worth it. "
We choose to stay here because of the location. Near the airport and near the cruise port. The staff was great. Very friendly and accompanying. The restaurant on site had amazing food. The room was comfortable and had nice views of the city at night. It was only one nights stay before our cruise. They had a shuttle service on site. We arranged a shuttle to the cruise port AND our return to the airport after. Less stress to worry when getting back from a cruise. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because of the wait for the hotel Shuttle to come pick us up from the airport. It was outside in the sun and very difficult identifying the hotel van. Overall, I highly recommend. It's well worth it and convenient!!
"Still no contact back from the staff"
We had a medical emergency just before boarding a cruise, and the hospitals "hospitality" staff directed us to stay here. The reason this specific hotel was chosen was because the main person staying needed a shuttle back and forth from the hospital (which we were told was free) as he is a blind old man. After staying for 21 days and receiving the bill, it was noticed that we were charged for parking (10.00/day) which is totally fine BUT... WE DIDN'T HAVE A CAR TO PARK I've called the hotel numerous times attempting to have the charges reversed or explained, I've talked to numerous different people, but apparently we are not important enough to call back to address this. I've requested to speak with the front end manager (Claudia) who seems to never be available yet has enough free time to write back on almost everyone's reviews on here, I've left my phone number and have received no phone calls back. This bill is part of an insurance claim that has to be submitted in a timely matter, and I guess what I'm saying is that; I'm just really upset with their LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.
"Night before cruise"
Stay here one night before our cruise. The people at the front were friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean. It was very up to date. We ate breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel which was very good. They had a very large buffet that looked wonderful but we ordered off the menu. The only negative thing was there wasn't much around the hotel.
"Everything Good Until...."
Room was clean and attractive. Welcoming people were cordial and friendly. Restaurant was excellent both food and service. But, and it's a big big but, I arranged for a 5:30 am wake-up call with whoever was at the front desk on the evening of 4/17 but the call never came. We had to rush like crazy to get ready to leave for a 8 am flight, had to skip breakfast and what was a very pleasurable stay turned into a near nightmare. I am writing this from the airport where we just arrived 20 minutes ago and will be boarding soon. So if you go to this hotel DO NOT ASK FOR AWAKE-UP CALL and someone needs to check to see what went wrong and see that it never happens again.
