"Worst Experience , Lazy Service, and the staff enter your room whenever they want!"
I have booked 3 nights at this Hotel. The location is great and I was very excited about the hotel and the rooms as everything looked neat, clean and nice. Yet, I had to change my room 3 times (pack and unpack everyday) which really ruined the trip. The first room had no balcony ( aka no access for fresh air as there rooms are either with balcony or a fixed window) so they gave me a room at the second floor which I was ok and upacked all my stuff only to find out that my it doesnt have hot water. I asked them to fix it and they told me everything will be covered within 15 mins. I waited for 4 hours and called back again only to figure out that they need an extra 2 hours ( technical problems do happen and I understand that but the staff could have at least informed me so that I wont be sitting around for 4 hours when they state every hour that within minutes everything will be fixed.) Afterwards, they suggested I change my room which I did for the third time going back to a room with a balcony. That was my last night there so changing rooms really interrupted my trip. Throughout, if I ask for room service, someone to prepare my room before I go back to the hotel or anything I need to do the same phone call around 5 times for them to actually deliver my request. I talked to the manager and I have explained everything to him but they never gave me any substitute, and I had to pay at the checkout the phone call I made to the manager to complain about the situation. Last but not least, what kind of a hotel would allow their employees to enter any room if no one opens it''!!! May I remark that there wasnt a sign outside the door so the employer couldnt have known if I am in my room or not. My friend was in her pjs going to take a shower when suddenly the door nocks at around 6 pm, she didnt hear the door so she saw someone opening the door and it was the employee asking her if everything is ok and if we need anything!! The best part about this is that it happened 3 times!! When I complained about this to the manager, he said it is their policy if the staff knocks three times and no one answer they can enter! That was for me the tip of the iceberg! Would be nice to get out of the shower only to find out the staff was there making sure everything is good on my end! the I had to lock my own room to make sure the employers wont just come in! I suggest you find another hotel.
"Pleasantly surprised 😊"
We have just spent 4 days at this hotel and I can say that we are really happy we stayed here. The staff and customer service is exceptionally good. In particular, we had melhim and mahmoud who served us breakfast every morning. They were very friendly and great fun and we even practiced our Arabic with them. Ali was great too as he would remember our specific breakfast requests and last but not least Christina who would greet us every morning and was always helpful. The location is perfect as hamra is a busy and trendy place to visit with a variety of restaurants, cafes and shisha shops. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The only reason I have given 4 stars is that the hotel is in need of a revamp of the decor which is dated and needs replacing. The front desk is also great and are able to assist you day and night with restaurant recommendations and local information. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back in the future.
"Terrific hotel in liveliest area of town"
Good sized rooms, great staff, surprisingly good laundry facilities, excellent breakfast in Hamra, one liveliest areas in town, near two major universities. This is where you want to stay in Beirut. Staff speaks great English and are very accommodating. And the price is right!!
Location is good at Hamra Street district. Hotel is nice and clean. Rooftop club closed to a private party. Small pool. View from rooftop is amazing. lots of restaurants around. Staff is ok. Breakfast is very good. Good security.
Been to Crowne Plaza Hotel several times in the last few years mainly for medical conferences and gala dinners. My experience there can be summerized as follows: -fancy hotel -great location in Hamra's main street -great food -excellent prices Highly recommended.
