"18th Birthday weekend stay. "
Stayed here for my sisters birthday celebrating her 18th with a group of friends. Over all really impressed with the hotel. Good central location. Easy to find on foot and by car. Lovely, spacious and modern. Only fault is I feel it is slightly over priced for what you get as it was £159.00 per room with no extras. Also the card keys to the door are not reliable. Would not work when we first arrived. I booked two separate double rooms and the key would work for one and not the other at 5pm when we checked in. Then had the same problem again around 8pm with the other room as they key wouldn't let them back in. When we got home from our night in town around 5am the key wouldn't work again so had to go to reception and get another key however reception we're friendly and helpful even at 5am in the morning. Room had both a shower and bath which was impressive and the beds are extremely comfortable. Nicely decorated with good lighting and TV's were large. Rooms look exactly as they do on google images.
"Very nice hotel."
I booked the hotel through a booking website and added the club lounge, it only cost the same as a premier inn and I had full access to the club lounge with free drinks and food. The rooms are really nice and very clean and tidy. You park your car across the road and get a cheaper rate from the hotel. Well worth the stay.
This hotel is very close to Manchester Victoria train station and even just a 25 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. I found this easier and more pleasant that driving into the centre and finding a car park. The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful and near to reception is a modern looking bar with a view out onto the street. The bedroom was luxurious with Egyptian cotton sheets and very comfy bath robes and slippers to relax in. Wifi is free. Breakfast was excellent and the staff attentive. The main town is 2 minutes around the corner (the hotel is located on the very edge of the main town). One thing that struck me is the sheer number of homeless people in Manchester.
"Ideal for MEN Arena, Lovely Hotel."
Booked into hotel for one night after attending a concert at the MEN arena. Its about a 7 minute walk to arena. Reception staff were extremely efficient and friendly. We used the concierge to park the car as it was absolutely chucking it down. Had no problems at all. Room was on the 4th floor, very spacious and well equipped. One complaint would be that the shower cubicle was very small and my 6ft 3" husband found it difficult to shower, not much room. Loved the lavender spray and roll on. Nice touch. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. No complaints at all. After the concert we came back to the hotel for a few drinks before bed, even had a pizza which can be ordered 24hrs. Bed was really comfortable, nice linen, and we never heard anyone else in the hotel at all. Good nights sleep. Breakfast was more than adequate and we didn't have to wait to be seated. Good quality sausages and bacon. Very tasty. All the staff we dealt with were extremely friendly, even the cleaning staff in the morning were cheery and welcoming. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Central and offers a fantastic level of service, a great quality hotel. Thank you for looking after us so well. 5*
Brilliant and helpful staff who could not do enough for you. Will definitely stay again. Extremely clean and the breakfast staff are just amazing always cleaning and nothing is too much trouble for them regardless of how busy they are
