"Nearly as good as it gets"
I chose this hotel on a deal and then booked into it as my regular haunt. It is my 'go to' hotel when in the city on business - over the first half of the year, this has been two nights a week on average. The rooms are incredibly consistent, the staff wonderful - friendly and capable. It delivers quickly, quietly and effectively. I feel very at home and that is a massive thing to be able to say to a large scale chain hotel. Bravo!
"Comfortable hotel on the river"
Comfortable and clean, friendly staff, good spacious rooms and bathrooms, great shower and super comfy beds. Nespresso coffee machine in rooms. River views and nice walk over bridge into Chelsea. Parking is a plus and good value.
Great location for Clapham Junction. Lovely clean modern hotel. Nice and tasty food available through room service. Could not fault the hotel or any of the staff (except one). Bar prices were a little steep, but this is London!The only small disappointment we had, was when we came back from breakfast and the room was still being cleaned. Normally when this has happened before, the staff go and then return when we have left the room. This did not unfortunately happen this time and the maid continued to clean the floor whilst we were in the bathroom brushing our teeth. It was an uncomfortable situation and we felt like intruders in our own room. We would have given the hotel full marks for service, if it wasn't for this incident. Some of the toiletries/towels weren't replaced on the Sunday, but appart from that I would definitely recommend the hotel and I would definitely return the next time I am in London.
"Notn what I expected\Not up to 4* standards"
Dear Sir/Madam, On 15\10\16 I stayed at your hotel for 1 night in room 406 as a anniversary getaway with my partner (as told to Daniela in the reservations department). As I mentioned to your receptionist Cataline (I believe)at the time, the accommodation was unsatisfactory in the following ways; * When we first arrived to the hotel the 3 staff members seemed more interested in speaking amongst each other for a good 5minutes behind the desk rather than actually greeting us with a 4\5 star greeting (a simple good afternoon would have sufficed). * When we eventually checked in, we had to find our own way to the lift without direction from the reception staff. * Once we entered room 406 all seemed to be OK on a quick look, but then I realised there were large dents on the bottom of the wall opposite the long mirror. There was cracks on the wall near the mirror and the pillow had a red stain on it. The free hose in the tub was hanging out instead of how it should have been and the bathroom TV was defective. When I called up to get these problems fixed it seemed as though the gentlemen was as astonished as myself and was only able to get the TV in the tub to turn on. He said an engineer would be going to fix the shower hose first thing in the morning (which didn't happen) and apologised about the stain on the pillow and made no comment on the cracks and dent in the wall. When I asked to be moved to another room, I was told that this was not possible; nor were the problems rectified. It was an implied term of our contract that the accommodation provided would be of an above standard of cleanliness and quality reasonably to be expected from this type and price of hotel. It's also an implied term that the service provided would be done so with reasonable care and skill as outlined on your website and by hotel legislation. Therefore, you are in breach of contract. I would like to know how IHG rectifies these matters like this and I look forward to hearing from a senior manager at their earliest convenience. "Exceptionally comfortable hotel"
Very pleasant discovery on a business trip. Very comfortable bed, huge bathroom, great shower. Desk a decent size for working. Breakfast overlooking the helipad was very nice - a good range of options. Good range of food available via room service. Bus nearby takes you into Pimlico, Victoria etc.
