"Hooked on home TV!"
Compact rooms as is the norm in Zurich. Just a few minutes by very regular tram from the centre. Note for Brits - they have all major UK TV channels in room and a few not so popular too. Great bathrooms, newly refurbished. Staff so friendly and knowledgeable. Migros supermarket 2 minutes walk when you get bored with the high prices of eating out in Zurich (particularly given current GBP-CHF rates. A return visit' Definitely.
"@ clean rooms , extremely helpful staff."
I stayed in crown plaza for two nights and it was a very pleasant experience , being IHG member i was upgraded to superior room , otherwise also hotel was very nice , convenient to public transport , super market and couple of eating joints nearby. fitness club in hotel is to go option with nice pool and Jacuzzi..
The hotel staff were quite helpful. The design of the room was very ill planned. It was difficult to maneuver around the room. The refrigerator was in a cabinet with a lock that had to be key opened every time. The bathroom door kept coming off the rails. The night stand next to the bathroom door was so close that it was impossible to open the door completely without hitting it. Moving the stand was virtually impossible. The shower head kept flying off. There was no actual closet and the clothes space was very clumsy. It was a double room, but there was really no space for two travelers.
Very nice hotel with a good staff. Rooms were very cleaned an comfortable and big enough for a couple with a bike. We choose this hotel because he was recommended by the Ironman organization. The hotel is not very close to the lake where the competition happens (6k or more) and we discovered they did not have a "transfer service" to bring athletes to the race early in the morning: 4.30 am. The hotel has also a first aid service and the young doctor took good care of me (I got a little crush during the race) Very appreciate. Huge breakfast until 10 am and special early breakfast for the day of the race.
"A great location, great staff, great touches, just a great experience"
First and foremost, Zurich is an expensive city for everything and in this case, the hotel was at a great price for this city. It is located near the Albisriederplatz tram stop also close to Tram 2. and then a 5 minute walk. i found the hotel clean, nice staff, with a restaurant for dinner and a nice breakfast diner. I also like the amenities and service they provided. A mini fridge, and a workout facility that was amazing.
