"Nice location, good parking, friendly staff"
My family and I stayed at the Cullinan for 4 days in November 2016. We had two rooms, arranged side-by-side, though not connecting. The hotel is very clean, with a modern design. Brasilia is not a city where one walks around much so, if you rent a car, the parking at the hotel is free, and very convenient. The staff is very friendly, and quite a few spoke decent English. The breakfast buffet was nice, with lots of variety - though all Brazilian. If you are expecting British, or American style breakfast, with lots of eggs, bacon, sausage, etc, you'll not find it there. This property is frequented by people working in government, or doing business with the government. So most guests are there for business, and always well dressed. Not as casual property. Which brings me to a negative point: considering that there are that many people there that need to get nicely dressed, and women have to put on their makeup, the rooms could use a lot more light, and have a little extra space for people to get ready. The lobby and common areas are very small. As are the rooms. No extra space at all. Bathrooms are tiny. All very neat. Very clean. But of diminutive proportions. The location is very central, with a very nice shopping mall directly across the street from it. If you are looking for an efficient place to spend the night, this is an affordable, smart choice.
"Nice option in Brasilia"
Nice hotel, good location 30 min from airport (BSB). Shower takes a long time heating but worked fine afterwards. Staff is friendly and extremely fast in responding to requests (room service included). Very recommendable.
"This is a standard 3 star, no more no less"
Staff was very helpful but slow due to process. Rooms are not new need updating. Breakfast was a disappointment very little variety. Hotel is old and need to update. Location is great next to a mall so shopping and food is there for you. taxi were easy to get. 30 minutes from airport.
"Kind staff, bad breakfast"
Pros: Location - across the street from the shopping mall Front desk staff is kind and helpful It's new and design is pleasant Cons: Tiny bathrooms Stained tablecloths in restaurant (not inviting) Poor quality of breakfast There are a sink and a small refrigerator in the room but no way to prepare coffee/way
"A very comfy stay"
This hotel provided a great base for our visit to Brasilia. Located within walking distance of the TV lookout tower on the main axis, the location is excellent. Although don't try to walk to all the sites for Brasilia is very spread out and the distances are large. The room is very rectangular, somewhat of a tunnel, but due to that very spacious. The bed was comfy and you even get a small kitchenette if you felt like preparing some meals. We didn't. Perhaps the only complaint with the design would be that for such a large room, the bathroom was very small. I loved the service in the hotel. It's easy going, relaxed and everything is always 'todo ben' :-) the staff were very friendly and accommodating. On the third floor there is a small and basic gym and a pool where you can swim laps. The restaurant on the ground floor had a great breakfast buffet spread. Not overdone, but the selection that was provided was very good.
