"Our favourite hotel undergoing renovation "
We did stay in this hotel 3 times. We loved this charming Thai atmosphere in the quiet corner of Patong. No need to go to far to stay at resort and basically be in the heart of night life. 3-5min on shuttle bus or tuk-tuk and you can enjoy your night out. At the last time of our stay hotel we're undergoing complete renovation and we're loosing (for us) it's Thai atmosphere. Not sure if we will come back because of it or not. We've we're lucky to stay in an old style room 2114 and we will miss it once it's gone. Perfect hotel to stay with kids because of variety and easy access to the pools, entertainment areas, kids room. Last one need renovation for sure. Wasn't used much but definitely looked aged. Food is really good. Large variety of buffet, lunch and dinner.
My husband and I spent a few nights here over our honeymoon. The concierge was very helpful with both check-in and check-out. Our room was huge and looked right onto the pool area. We received a complimentary cake in celebration of our honeymoon. The staff also gave us a small candy gift on Christmas eve. The shuttle up the hill from the main lobby ran regularly and we seldom had to wait for it. If we did, it was only for a few minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
"Perfect honeymoon destination "
Beautiful hilltop location away from the craziness of Phuket, which is only 20 minute walk away. If climbing hundreds of stairs is not your thing, hotel offers a shuttle to your room. Very friendly staff.
"If you like stairs and hikes this is the hotel for you"
Not impressed, large resort with lots of hiking to the rooms. Yes there is a shuttle to take you up the hill but often times you don't connect with it. I called 4 times to get free shuttle to the shopping center and each time it was already booked. The tv was terrible. They said we had a sea view, sure if we were giraffes who can stretch their neck around the corner to see the view. The staff was friendly and gave us cold towels when we wanted. The new pool was nice, but the old big pool in the picture was dated. We counted 63 stairs to get to the old pool only went there once in six days. The rooms were old decor. Each time you wanted to go to breakfast prepare for another hike up and down a lot of stairs. The Japanese restaurant in the complex was really nice. We had to move our chair by the door just to get a decent wifi signal.
"Wonderful place to stay!!"
I stayed here last year in 2015 with my husband and again this year. Diamond Cliff is such a wonderful, clean, beautiful place to stay. From all of the amazing staff we are so friendly and will go out of there way to help you to the gorgeous new pool area and bar. We had a wonderful cleaner who saw a birthday balloon in our room, later that say she came back with a Birthday cake for my partner we could not beleive it! The drivers who bring you to your rooms daily are so lovely and so polite and everyone from security again go out of there way to ensure you have the best stay ever. I would recommend this place to everyone whether you are travelling alone, as a couple or with your family they will truly accomadte all your needs. The rooms are cleaned daily, beds are extremly comfortable and the views are gorgeous for sunset especially. Thank you again for our wonderful stay.
