First this property is not for the mobility challenged, there are stairs up down and everywhere in between. This means a very steep property with stairs to landings and then more stairs. After knee and hip replacement this was a bit of a test. Beyond the stairs the stay was very nice. The property is clean, the room was clean, the food was good. Not too far from town and shopping. Stayed 6 nights and found it very relaxing, quiet but a work out getting down to breakfast and back.
The most amazing resort , We had arrived at the hotel at 10am but check but our room was only available to be checked in at 2pm. The resort made us comfortable by allowing us to use their resort lounge to shower and freshen up after our long flight has our room was not ready.. Also when we checked out on our last day of our stay our flight was only later that night after we checked out we left our luggage at the reception and went into patong and arrived later. The resort allowed us to use the lounge again to shower and freshen up before we left to the airport although we checked out earlier. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This resort is perfectly situated in the north part of patong which the more quieter part but is within walking distance to central patong.
"Please Spay and Neuter Your Friendly Strays"
An incredible slice of heaven, however, as an animal lover I became concerned for the litter of very friendly kittens at the pool who stood by waiting for vacationers to drop delicious morsels. If not for the formalities, they would have come home in my luggage but instead my concern for their welfare led to quite a bit of time spent on contacting organizations that trap, neuter and release kitties like these. These incredibly sweet cats are approaching breeding age, and unfortunately we know what happens- one cat and her kittens can produce over 400,000 kittens in 7 years, leading to a whole lot of needless suffering. Please, you have resources that will help you keep your tourist-loving cats happy and healthy. From the other side of the world, please scoop them up into a box and call Soi Dog. They will spay, neuter, vaccinate and return them to the hotel where they may live out their lives catching mice and munching on Pad Thai :)
"Amazing experience with service plus!!!"
We stayed here for 9 nights between Jan. 23rd and Feb.1st and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We were greeted by smiling staff and offered a refreshing drink upon arrival. Our check in was so smooth and we were quickly led to our room, with our luggage arrival in less than 3 minutes. Our room --a Diamond Suite--2002-was very spacious with an excellent view of the ocean. Separate bathroom, shower and bathtub rooms made it so easy for each of us to enjoy what we wanted. We had a small balcony with a small round table and chairs and a drying rack for swimwear, etc. Very convenient. The grounds are beautiful and quite spacious--with lots of beautiful plants/flowers, shrubs and trees. The caretakers seemed to work nonstop. There are two large swimming pools-one located across from the main restaurant and one located up on the second level. The one on the second level included a water slide, small bridges to walk across from one side to the other or to swim under, a waterfalls [very cool experience to stand under--refreshing to say the least; swim up bar and more. Ample lounge chairs are available at each pool. The Ocean View Restaurant provided excellent meals--we chose to have the breakfast buffet each day--an excellent selection of items-Western, Asian, and some Japanese and Indian options. Anything we ordered specifically was cooked exactly as requested. The outdoor seating area that we chose each day outlooked the ocean--great view and a relaxing way to begin each day. The bar opposite the restaurant served a variety of drinks including specials--all we had were very good and reasonably priced. I used the fitness facility each day--well equipped with free weights, treadmills, bicycles, stair climber; plus ab station, and cable equipped machines. Free cold water, towels and friendly staff were eager to meet your need or answer a question. On the property are the following --a tailor [excellent service-my wife had a suit made-great job]; a Japanese restaurant, a Thai restaurant, a Costume studio, a Fruits Shop, a Clinic, a Spa, children's play area room and more. There is also a free shuttle service into the heart of Patong 4 times per day. We chose to walk each day--took us about 20 minutes. I rented a motorcycle off sight and there is an area for parking on the property. Security personnel were stationed throughout the main entrance to assist with crossing the busy highway making sure all guests are safe. We found all of the staff to be friendly, competent and professional in all regards. We were pleased with the overall level of English spoken especially by those who worked at the front desk and in the Ocean View Restaurant. I would especially like to acknowledge the professionalism and support provided by Wannee--assistant office manager--thanks for your excellent service. I am pleased to recommend this resort without hesitation.
