"Mess near messe"
My big mistake to booked Dorint . Always used to book Hyatt which is a great hotel .Dorint has deteriorated over the years have stayed here 3 times earlier 6 years ago . While no doubt it is good location . I reached hotel at 10 am check on was at 3 pm I was in for rude shock the receptionist told me yes room was ready but wasn't available until 3 pm was available only in I paid extra . No good category hotel falls so cheap that is asks for people for money for check in if room was ready .i can understand late check out charges but early check in charges is like a cheap 3rd grade hotel does . Rooms were bad they have deteriorated quality of towels soaps tea choice over years the difference is quality service between Hyatt and Dorint was clearly evident while hyatt is 20% more expensive but experience is 200% better don't waste your money time on Dorint best avoid it
Location of the hotel is in the middle of the city. You can go everywhere by foot from the hotel. Central station is so closed to the hotel. Also staff is so willing to help. Room is so cleaned. They have wide range of foods in the breakfast such as Mediterranean.
"Perfect for the show "
Second time using this hotel for the purpose of visiting the Messe. Which is 30 seconds across the road. The hotel itself is really good. Arrived late and still checked in within a few minutes. Stayed in suite 163 really good room big lounge area. Powerful shower with medium sized bedroom. Never watch tv in Germany no english channels. Food is excellent so much choice for breakfast. On site restaurant was good with lots of choice. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who visiting for the show.
"Perfect location to attend the trade fair"
The location is directly across the street from the trade fair halls, so even the most drunk of people could crawl back. They have a good breakfast buffet, steak house and a bar lounge with outdoor seating for better weather days. On Sundays the bar lounge is closed, so if you're wanting anything to eat or drink, you will have to go to the Old Town Area. Rooms - Rooms are fine. Dark brown shag carpet like what I had in my apartment in 1977. Everything is in good shape. The TV screen is smaller than my PC screen, so not very impressed with a small TV, but its easy to stick in your suitcase without any effort. Area - Not much to do within a few blocks. The Old Town is on the river by the Cathedral and is an easy 20 minute walk. Walk under the train station and exit right and you will see the walkway that takes you across the bridge. Several good places to eat and very good beer houses. Cab ride is 13-15 Euro each way. If I was attending the trade fair, this is the place I would stay. Otherwise, I would stay in one of the many places available closer to the Old Town region I enjoy so much. I found the staff to be fine, food was OK, beer was great and the room rate is a very fair price. Best part is, I didn't need my alarm set. I could hear the guy's cell phone alarm in the room next to mine and he liked to hit the snooze button at least once each day. At least its on a quiet street, so no road noise at all.
"Work trip "
Nice hotel with lovely pool area and gym. Breakfast was good plenty to choose from, only problem was we had to catch an early train for airport but it didn't open on time and the staff didn't seem to care. Room was ok nice and spacious
