From the moment I walked into the hotel I was completely consumed by the amazing design and architecture of the DorMero. This hotel is modern with a splash of risqué. The food is amazing, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, you name it. This hotel provides satisfaction in many capacities at affordable rates. The staff was amazing to include staff at all the adjacent eateries and establishments. I look forward to my next visit.
"Hotel full of surprises"
Convenient and spacious room with great comfort. Great access to local entertainment as well as in the room. A great breakfast buffet filled with everything will need. I stayed one night for a business meeting and I was very satisfied.
I have stayed here twice in year 2015. Very close to Daimler office and is always crowded. Room, furnishing, services are all very good and comfortable. I loved the wardrobe, bathroom. WiFi is fantastic and new movies are available in the TV to watch. Only once, I had problems with rooms not getting cleaned until evening 4pm.
The hotel is in the outskirts of Stuttgart at about five hours walk from the city center. It’s a good hotel where one can have all the relevant needs as a guest duly satisfied. The building is of recent construction, but nevertheless that is not to the detriment of the comfort enjoyed in the different parts of the hotel. The rooms, though decorated in a modern way, are spacious and the beds are very comfortable thanks mainly to their tough mattresses, as it must be in order not to worsen any back troubles the customers may endure. The toilet and shower room of the bedroom I was allocated was a bit small but anyway enough to fulfill its functions. The breakfast offered in that hotel is very good and varied. Therefore, everything needed in relation to that particular meal can be got. The orange juice is natural and it’s obtained from the pertinent machine which the customer himself feeds with fresh oranges. It’s really fantastic. Maybe the sweet fruits are the only thing to which variety cannot apply but that’s not a serious problem. The staff members are in general very kind and helpful until the end of one’s stay at the hotel. The position may vary afterwards. Among the ones working at the front desk there is a Polish lady who makes clear with much detail how to go to any particular point. In this regard, she explained to me very clearly how I could go to the Schloß Solitude and thus the different means of transport I had to take therefor. The gym is not in line with the hotel standards. There are not many devices or apparatuses there. It’s on one side of a corridor not far from an Irish pub, on the other side, and it has no doors whatsoever; any privacy is thus ruled out. The worst is however that there are no mats in it so that there is no way to get some back exercise. As it is known, a gym without mats is just half a gym. By and large, it’s at any rate a good hotel in which I should not hesitate to advise my friends to lodge whenever going to the city concerned. The stated distance from the hotel to the city center shouldn’t really be a problem since one can go and come back by train in about twenty minutes. The nearest train station from the hotel is at about thirty seconds from one of its doors, so the waste of time as regards the relevant trip is minimum.
"Odd hotel, but I liked it"
Not what one normally expects of a German hotel (I'd say business hotel but I'm not sure they'd agree they are) in that it was quirky and dare I say even fun in a tongue-in-cheek way. Think of it as a German interpretation of a mid-range Las Vegas casino hotel, and you're on the right track. Granted I was only there for two nights on business, but overall I found I liked it. The rooms are somewhat basic, but very serviceable, comfortable, clean, and with a FREE MINIBAR. Show me another hotel that does that anymore. I was sure I misunderstood when the woman at reception explained that to me. Staff were helpful and efficient, check-in and check-out were painless (I avoided peak times), breakfast was excellent, and there's a tram station directly out the back of the hotel. Next time I'm in Stuttgart I'll save the effort and just choose the Dormero again.
