"Excellent service: great experience"
We stayed with daughter and son-in-law for two nights to explore old haunts and family history and to celebrate my wife's birthday. The room was excellent, adequate in terms of space and passed the bare foot test. Bathroom spotless. Nothing was too much trouble for staff who were invariably attentive. We ate in and the menu was excellent, service timely and the wine list both sensible and well-priced. We only live in Hertford but if we had occasion to stay overnight in town again I would go for this hotel every time. Highly recommended.
"Charming Stylish Hotel"
Spent four very comfortable nights in a Dorset Square room. Large for London with sitting area, desk and armchairs. Could do with a coffee table though. As others have written, staff are superb, decor is fun and stylish, location is central and convenient to two tube stations, rooms are nicely sound proofed and street is quiet. Would absolutely stay here again as value for London is hard to beat. There is a main floor drawing room facing the square if you want to get out of your room and I spent a quiet afternoon working first with a cup of tea and then a glass of wine. Had the place to myself for most of the time which was very peaceful. One caution - others have commented on the small single rooms and my colleague unfortunately had one. It was tiny - she could barely fit her case between the end of her bed and the wall and there was no desk or chair. So as long as you are clear that you don't want one of those rooms when booking, its a very pleasant stay.
"An amazing Boutique Hotel in Dorset Square"
We came over to London to celebrate a special birthday. Stayed at the Dorset Square Hotel in a Deluxe room overlooking the square. Lovely room, a comfortable bed, crisp belinen and amazing pillows! Breakfast in the Potting Shed - plenty of choice. We also had drinks in the Potting Shed before going out - a lovely atmoshpere. The hotel have first class staff - they were courtious throughout our stay, and a special mention to Alexia whom I booked the reservation over the phone and was on reception when we arrived. We would definetaly return
""Nice quirky touches""
This is the 3rd Hotel in the group I have stayed with and it was up to the usual high standard of the others so I was not disappointed, the now expected home from home feel was there although I wish we could have stayed more than the 1 night we did on our flying visit, our room was the Dorset Square room which comfortably accommodated myself and 2 teenage daughters , one on the pull out bed, which was very comfortable, the room offered a view over the square if you wanted to sit and people watch and the sound proofing was great, as was the air conditioning as London was having a heatwave. The Highlight for my daughters was the box of vinyl records and the record player and we all had a wee dance to the Beatles. We had lunch in the hotel and it was very good, as was breakfast the next morning with loads on offer from the menu and a buffet table with pastries and cereal etc. The decorating theme in the communal areas is "cricket" if you are a fan you will find some lovely memorabilia and quirky touches I believe from the designer Kit Kemp All in all I was sorry to be leaving as I never got to get the full experience on our one day visit but I would most definitely return on future visits.
"A Boutique Jewel TownHouse Hotel"
We (my wife and I) enjoyed a wonderful, welcoming vacation experience (six nights) at this really lovely boutique hotel in the trendy and vibrant Marylebone section of London. We opted for the Deluxe category room, facing the park in Dorset Square, which was great. The room and the amenities were top of the line. The in-house bar and restaurant (and 24 hour room service) are excellent. The staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and efficient. Logistically, the hotel is ideally situated for getting around town - right between two Tube stations, Baker Street and Marylebone (two blocks from each) and it is very convenient to Paddington Station and therefore easy to get to via the Heathrow Express. We would definitely stay there again.
