Very nice hotel centrally located, excellent sleep quality but the light of the room was inadequate. Excellent restaurant, I will definitely come back. I have recommended it on the ready to my friends in the bay area
Amazing service! Always had clean towels and came home to a beautiful room and view! The room was not too expensive and everything is within walking distance. Definitely would recommend to famillies or people on business. I also want to give a big thanks to Laura for making us feel at home and comfortable! 10/10 would recommend.
"Great caring Staff"
Let me start by mentioning two wonderful staff members. Kytoria and Kierra both made our check in wonderful. They both exceeded my expectations for service excellence. My wife and I have stayed here at the doubletree many times but, It was my two daughters first trip to Chicago. I mentioned this to them and they took over from there. Moving us to a room with a wonderful view and when we returned home from the mile shopping there was fruit, chocolate strawberries and champagne waiting for us. I never mentioned HH status they did this to make our stay the best. The entire staff here is great and is a reflection of leadership and Hilton properties. I will stay here again when in Chicago. I recommend you give it a try. Rooms clean, beds 4 of 5 on bed scale shower head and water pressure 4 of 5 scale.
"Ok But Outdated"
We stayed for one night. A well located hotel - near to the Magnificent Mile of Chicago. The hotel is within walking distance of most major attractions of the city, not far from the historic Water Tower of Chicago. Near the hotel you can find many restaurants of different styles and price levels. Unlike some other contributors, I think that the staff members who served us were efficient and polite. The room was ok, medium size but big enough for us. However, the room was slightly outdated, and felt wear and tear. Bottom line: It's reasonable if you can get a room at a low price comparing to other hotels in the area. Also, if you are not a Hilton loyality program member - expect to pay for WiFi.
"Rundown and in need of renovation."
This hotel is okay for the price but just don't expect the quality to be anywhere near a newer hotel or one that has been renovated. The décor, fixtures and wall look outdated and rundown. Some of the rooms face directly to the parking structure across the street. We stayed and the Hilton Curio London House the following week and it was soooo much nicer there. The building is older but the inside is renovated and looks swanky with lots of electrical outlets, nice plumbing, gadgets and cool stuff.
