The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - Marble Arch is situated on the northern side of Oxford Street next to Marble Arch and across the road from Hyde Park. Accessible via M40 and M4, 20 miles from Heathrow Airport and short walk from Marble Arch underground. Booked to dine at Le Garoche ( wow a must do). Hotel 3 minutes away therefore ideal location. Concierge was amazing ( Maroun) went above and beyond what was expected. For him alone was worth the stay. Room nice, however would be better with a bath.
Stayed here for two nights with my partner. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, easy access from Main Street. We were upgraded to a king executive suite which was lovely, the room was spacious, clean and had all amenities that you would need. Breakfast was good had nice variety and you order eggs when you sit down so they are nice and fresh, didn't try the restaurant for dinner unfortunately as we were out. Both concierges we encountered on Saturday and Sunday were so wonderful and welcoming. The hotel is on a side road off Oxford street, literally 1 minute and your on Oxford street, perfect location and right next to buses and tube line. Only negative I have is the noise in the executive rooms which are in the "basement" from the bar above, on the second night from 6pm until 1am we could hear people walking back and forth, tables moving, chairs banging And even bottles (I am assuming being thrown in the bin in the bar). I went to reception about 12.45am and asked the night receptionist if it was the bar above our room, he said yes it was and "yeah we know it's noisy we get the complaints all the time" was his response. Good hotel and great location.
"OK so location is very central - but pricey for a really really small room"
Just off Marble Arch and Oxford Street - so tick that box if you are looking for central London location. BUT .... rooms are tiny and the price paid was cheap even by London standards. I am a Hilton Honors member and had hoped that I might be able to use status to get a reasonable upgrade price but nothing available .... I used the online check-in option with choice of room - I would recommend not doing this and pushing at physical check-in for the best room possible - get them to show you a couple of rooms and you might find one that is a little bigger than a shoe-box. Cookie as always a nice touch; service was fine - no more no less; wouldn't be rushing back
"Short trip to London"
Excellent location, however a bit noisy in the morning due to prime location on busy streets. Clean and Comfortable however room is a bit small but all rooms in London are tiny. Excellent quality of staff! Really welcoming :)
"Nice hotel- small room!"
The hotel lobby was nicely decorated and the staff were friendly enough. The doubletree cookies on arrival are always a bonus! Another plus is the fantastic location just behind oxford street, so perfect if you are looking for a shopping trip. The room we stayed in was priced at just under £200 per night which I thought was very pricey for the tiny box room! Just enough room for double bed and a desk, and the bed was a small double which we both just laughed at the size! Luckily we didn't pay full price but had we have done I'd be more disappointed!
