Arrived around 130 and no issues with early check in. Welcomed with the hot cookie, recognised as a silver member all with a smile. Offered help with bag also but was fine. Room on 2nd floor. Had to go to floor one and walk up a small flight of stairs and round the corridor to 245. Was a very good size room. Bottled water and some chocolates on the table, was welcomed. Walked out and there was a film crew shooting outside the hotel. Returned in the evening with a 5 min walk from South Kensington tube station. The TV is on the wall in front of the sofa but when sat in bed its at an angle and can't be tilted. Wifi worked well. Hot water a plenty shower wise. Morning greetings from housekeepers as went downstairs to eat. Warm welcome at restaurant for breakfast and shown to table and offered tea etc. As ever, standard hotel food all reasonable. Warmly checked out, asked if taxi needed.....and wished well for the day with a come back soon. Very central, under £200 for the night as a late booking and would happily come back.
"Was a lovely hotel"
We had a lovely stay but had s problem with not very in our room due to a loose connection unfortunately this did not get resolved until 20 minutes before we checked out ! Other then this it was a lovely stay
"Superb stay- wonderful staff!"
Staff can make or break a hotel stay and the staff here were so helpful and friendly, they really enhanced our stay. They switched us to a room that accommodated our baby crib and were always welcoming. Hotel staff should be welcoming, you say' Agreed, but sadly, this is often not the case. We would stay here again, in a heartbeat. Its sister hotel outside of LHR' Never again. Great location, clean and restaurant was good. Definitely recommend!
Ideal hotel for evening event at the Natural History Museum. Room very quiet. Just disappointed not to be able to get a drink at 00.45hrs on return from function. Breakfast good quality. Check out was a little slow. Overall would certainly stay here again.
Location is just a 5 minute walk from South Kensington tube station. Walk along Old Brompton Road until Queens Gate and the hotel is just across the road on the left, opposite the Kensington Hotel. It's a lovely neighbourhood with coffee shops, bistros etc. You'll feel perfectly safe walking to the hotel. Staff at the hotel were outstanding, friendly and efficient. You're greeted with a large warm choc chip cookie at reception. We booked a standard room and chose twin beds as thought the double would be small. The room was small as was the bathroom. The shower was not very powerful but that happens in hotels. The bed was like a marshmallow cloud, it was so comfortable, had a really good night's sleep, no noise from outside as we were at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was superb, staff were super helpful, carrying my juice to the table for me. Would definitely stay here again. We just stayed one night, if you're staying longer maybe an upgrade to a larger room would be a good idea.
