La situación ideal para moverse por el centro de LondresComment of M. Maria Jose , Spain the 2016-11-02
We loved to stay at this hotel, mostly because of it`s location, only a minute walk from Victoria station and we even walked to the city centre a couple of times. Suprisingly quiet area and hotel!Comment of N. Marit Eikrem , Norway the 2014-11-18
"A Great Place for a Week of Sightseeing in London"
Double Tree By Hilton London Victoria My husband and I spent one week at this hotel in April. We were very pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly and we felt very welcome and at home there for a week. They knew this was our 40th anniversary trip for us, and had chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room our first night. This hotel was very close to the Victoria train station and tube, as well as very close to the meeting place for our Golden Tours we had booked. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, and the food was very good. But the menu did not change while we were there, and we wanted something different, so we ate at the St. George pub-just a block away- a few times. There are probably more pubs and restaurants around the area, but we needed something quick and easy to walk to-coming in late from sightseeing. Our room was very quiet and very comfortable. We had a king room with plenty of drawers and closet space to place all our belongings for the week. We had a refrigerator to keep our cold drinks and water in. The in-room safe gave us a secure place to lock up our valuables. The shower and bathroom were great! The desk served as a vanity for me with a mirror and outlets for my curling iron. They provide a great hairdryer in the room-so don’t bother packing one. The concierge and front desk clerks were very helpful and went out of their way to be friendly. We loved the warm chocolate chip cookie at our check in, and every time we asked for some water bottles for the night they gave us more cookies to take to the room. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you book any group tours that leave from the Victoria Coach Station. (Group tours used to have complimentary hotel pick ups- but those were discontinued after April 1st) . We are Hilton Honors Members and love Hilton Hotels- and this Double Tree made our stay in London an awesome experience!
Location is perfect, right across the street from Victoria Station, restaurants and supermarkets around. Room very clean and cozy, great service, good breakfast. Overall a very nice stay in Central London.
They gave 5 star service. Concierge had another staff member pull my luggage several blocks and uphill to Victoria Coach Station. He took me directly to Gate and checked in my big piece of luggage. St George Tavern end of block. Great fish and chips. Local grocery store and wine shop behind hotel..lots of stores and food across street in Victoria Station.. no train noise. Handy to HOHO bus.
"Quiet, comfortable room in a central location"
International staff very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed and quiet fourth floor. Across the street from Victoria Station, providing quick travel access to trains and the Underground. Many restaurants, fast food and stores.
"Great staff. Bad boiler."
There are some truly excellent things about this hotel. Firstly, the staff are polite, warm and attentive, giving this London DoubleTree a real shine. Overall, the hotel is well presented, rooms comfortable and very clean. The location is also fantastic, you are a stones throw away from Victoria station, connecting you to the Victoria, Circle and District lines. I stay in London regularly and seldom have I been so well connected for the underground. Unfortunately, however, upon my stay the hotel seemed to be experiencing some serious failings with its hot water, meaning that two of the three mornings I was staying here I was having to have cold showers. Good for the circulation, I know, but was somewhat of a rude awakening for two thirds of my stay. Such a shame, as the hotel itself was great and the staff excellent - going so far as to offer a complementary breakfast for the inconvenience, but with travel plans previously booked, had to politely decline this kind offer upon the second instance. Might stay again, but will have to call first to see if the gas is back on....
