La situación ideal para moverse por el centro de LondresComment of M. Maria Jose , Spain the 2016-11-02
We loved to stay at this hotel, mostly because of it`s location, only a minute walk from Victoria station and we even walked to the city centre a couple of times. Suprisingly quiet area and hotel!Comment of N. Marit Eikrem , Norway the 2014-11-18
"Great Weekend - Great Location - Great Hotel"
If you are like me constantly on the move and pulling & pushing suitcases. Flying into London Airports, you have had enough of traveling and just want to get to your hotel and dump the cases. Then a quick 30 mins on the Gatwick Express, just walk outside Victoria Station and your there. No taxis or buses just a 2 minute walk from the concourse. Of course it's a Hilton and it's not the cheapest or the most expensive, but you get your monies worth here. Victoria is a good location for some great restaraunt's all within walking distance. The hotel bar is friendly and cosy. The breakfast was a full english and the room was just perfect for a couple on a weekend away. We went to Twickenham and watched England V South Africa ( Eng Won). Walked to an Indian restaurant, which was 10 mins walk in the evening - the choice of food and restaraunt's is endless. If you fancy a show or two, they are 5 mins walk from the hotel as well. We have done lots of London weekends together and it's nice to find a convenient, realistically priced Hotel in the capital. Scotland had played England that weekend at football and the hotel did have a lot of guests from up there! I have to say you were all very good spirited about losing the game, but from what we saw, you definitely won the drinking competition in the bar after👍 A very friendly hotel and really nice staff. I checked out at 04.30 hrs in the morning to go back to the airport. The lady on the desk was helpful, smiling and efficient - much appreciated when your nursing a hangover and just want to be anywhere but pulling and pushing a suitcase. We have stayed in this hotel at least 3 or 4 times now and we will go back. The service has been consistent and we appreciate not feeling ripped off because your a tourist. Check it out! We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as a wedding anniversary treat. We have been here a few times before and always loved it, hence why we booked it again. I am sorry to say though this time I feel very let down, As an extra special treat we booked an executive room, previously we have stayed in normal rooms. When we got to our room which was on the 9th floor we were very impressed, the room was large and had a lovely bathroom and dressing gowns and slippers, even more great was a skyline view of London, we could see the shard and watched a beautiful sunrise one morning. Now the negatives, Our room was great except at night, there was a loud humming noise above our room which I could only think was an air conditioning unit'' This kept me awake 2 out of the 3 nights, the other night I slept only because of the few glasses of wine I had I think!! The room had a fridge in it which we wanted to use but it was dirty. We ordered room service which was great arrived very quickly and lovely food, we were asked to put the tray outside when we had finished which we did only to leave the room the next day to still see it outside our room. We had eaten early around 6pm so we presumed they would of taken it away. The hotel has 3 lifts, 2 of which were out of service, we did get in one lift, which told us to press the buzzer and get help and the other person in the lift said he had been to his floor twice already now only for the doors not to open, I hastily got out of the lift when the doors kept opening then closing again. There was a disabled help alarm on our floor near the lifts which had been going off when we went out in the morning and was still going off the same evening when we got back. I am hoping this had been checked and nobody actually needed help. We had spent a lot of money for this hotel and I am not sure we will be going back again which is a great shame as I said we have always enjoyed it here, but this time I wish we had stayed elsewhere.
Had a lovely meal after a theatre trip. Food very good excellently presented. Only minor complaint had cheese as a dessert which was on the set menu and it was so cold lost the taste. Staff very friendly and polite.
Close to Victoria Station and a good base to explore London. The front desk were friendly and helpful. We were given warm cookies when we checked in, that was a nice touch and appreciated, because it was bloody cold outside. The rooms are a little small, but cozy and the wifi works well (which is a very rare commodity in London, everyone says they have wifi but apparently none of it is comparable with iPhones.) Thanks for the stay guys.
Very close and convenient to Victoria station. Rooms are on the the smaller end but have everything we needed to be comfortable. Front desk was so accommodating with our early arrival and provided us with two warm chocolate chip cookies as well. Room was a little on the noisy side during the day as it overlooks construction. I would stay here again.
