"No early check in and housekeeping came in at 10am"
We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. I called ahead the morning of the wedding to see if we could get an early check in. I was told that was not possible and could only check in after 4 o'clock. The wedding was at four so there was no way we could check in before the wedding. We ended up having to check in after the reception around 1230am with all of our bags. At this point much of our family was intoxicated. Thankfully I had a family member that was not and was able to help me get checked in. At that point I asked for a late checkout which I was granted. At 10 o'clock the next morning housekeeping knocked on our door twice and then came in while we were still in bed. I had to yell from the bed that we were still in the room. They were apologetic and left but I wasn't sure why that even happened if we requested a late checkout. As I said before the hotel itself was beautiful and our room was very nice but I was disappointed that I paid so much money and wasn't even able to get my belongings settled in my room before the wedding.
Overall fantastic visit, nothing negative to report. Employees were great always around making sure the guests were taken care of, only small issue was the key card for the parking garage didn't work for the first few hours when we arrived.
"Quick business Trip"
We went for a convention at Orange County Convention Center. Hotel was in a great location and convenient to the highway but there was a lot of traffic. Rooms were very clean and the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was included each morning and there was so much to choose from on their buffet including fresh fruit, eggs, and plenty of meat selections and dry goods.
"Disappointing for a Doubletree"
Used our Hliton Reward points to reserve a room for a family memorial. Asked during the booking for a room refrig (as advised not all rooms have them) and extra towels. Either were done at check in. The room was basic & standard as well as clean but this hotel site is in need of a remodel refreshing- it seems old and tired and out dated. The mirrors in the bathroom & dressing area were showing signs of wear and the mirror itself murky. A repair had been done to keep the mirror in the frame in the bathroom and the repair job was visible. Housekeeping did come about 3-3:00p and offer extra towels and toiletries, she was very pleasant. The coffee pot was dusty and not appealing, as well as no complimentary coffee offered in the lobby. The cost of parking is $18 for self parking and $21 for valet. Most of the garage was empty through out our visit. Certainly a revenue vein for the hotel but not the right thing to do. The internet was horrid! Spotty and slow and kept cutting out requiring a reboot. The beds were very comfy and no noise in hall ways. The fitness area was clean and equipment up to date and nice variety. Using our points was the saving grace of the weekend. Overall the hotel was average and below the standards of the Doubletree brand.
"Fine hotel but a little noisy"
Good value. Clean, professional, and convenient. There is a freight train very close, so light sleepers beware. I consider this above average and comfortable. The breakfast options are good and the staff is usually very friendly. Not crazy about the parking situation, but who really loves to carry luggage to and from your car to the hotel' No one.
