"Average hotel, except....."
First, let me say I'm usually a huge Hilton hotel fan. The reason I booked at this hotel was the very generous government rate for Veterans Day. That being said, I am highly unlikely to stay here again for the following reasons. The hotel itself is very nice, the employees are generous and professional at all times. I did not eat at the restaurant so I can not comment on that. Upon check in I noticed no bottled water was available for Hilton honors members. Inside our room we noticed the room still had trash in the trash cans, the outlet port on the table was broken and sticking up, the room service card was already filled out by the past guest, there was only 1 decaf coffee packet with no cups/sugar/creamer and there was no extra blankets in the closet. Upon calling for an extra blanket for the wife I was told they are all out and to try back tomorrow for one; also noting they "might" have one then. Also after calling for coffee I noticed house keeping inspected to be sure I was out before lending me some coffee packets. Furthermore our room key never worked for the parking garage entry/exit; which could have been a system problem, which happens and I'm not upset about. Breakfast is not included with the room like some hiltons, however being downtown I was not expecting that either. Lastly, I did notice our fire escape plan was not correct on the door (I included photos). There is no fitness area on floor 13, however they have one stated on the fire escape route printing. That should definitely be updated with the correct one in case of an emergency. All in all, if the room had been cleaned and fully functional furnishing, it would have been a great experience. The hotel by a nice lake and some local shops/bars. And as I've stated, my review is no way related to the staff, they where exceptional. I was given hilton honor "points" and a letter for my troubles, which I greatly appreciated. Maybe you'll have a better experience than me, I will most likely be staying elsewhere, another Hilton or chain, but if you decide to stay, good luck.

So this hotel is what you have grown to expect from the DT brand. It is clean, a bit older crowd in the bar, etc. I do hear the pool will be under renovation soon . . .it is close to downtown, easy to park (even on the street for free parking), and there is a hotel shuttle.
Hotel very impressive, lobby decor outstanding. Staff was very friendly and greeted us promptly. Parking on the premise is on the high side but very convenient. I would stay there in the future but would look into taking a package deal due to the cost of our breakfast.
Staff was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel. Especially Alexandra and Bis. The valet staff was also excellent. Food was acceptable but the customer service was incredible. They went above and beyond what I expected.
I would highly recommend this hotel as they were caring, accommodating and catered to our every need. We were staying at this hotel as my granddaughter had a difficult procedure at the hospital the next day. "Kate" the bartender went out of her way to give the kids crayons and paper. She was amazing!
