"St Patrick's Day"
Stayed here for 4days, rooms are lovely, got clean towels everyday, the situation of the area is great as it's in walking distance to nearly everything you want to see, only let down was the staff, don't know if it was they were really busy but they were very blunt, not friendly except for the housekeeping staff, wasn't in the place much so wasn't a big deal, would stay again though.
"Fabulous location, tiny room, but I guess that is NYC!"
Our family was going to NYC for Spring break and when I asked for hotel recs this one won. And so it should. It is the best location! We had easy subway/train access, could walk to lots of places etc. Never having stayed in a hotel here (only been to the city for a day at a time) I had no idea how small the rooms were going to be. And I did not realize I booked 2 double beds. They don't have 2 queens, but had I noticed they were double beds I probably would have looked elsewhere. But it ended up being fine...was me, my husband and our 16 year old son. The room was extremely clean. The beds were made like cocoons, you could probably have bounced a coin off them. We may stay here again if we could get a bigger room, but you can't beat the location. Room was also very quiet, never heard another door or person.
"Dirty clothes and dirty washcloth in room!"
Upon checking in to a junior suite, we discovered someone's dirty clothing in the room and a dirty washcloth in the shower. Totally disgusting and they didn't even change our room or send a cleaning person to attend to it! I'm disgusted and NEVER going back!
This hotel is central to everything if u can't walk to most things then use the subway, it's cheap. It's the only thing that is cheap in this city. The hotel check in was quick and efficient and we were given scrumptious warm cookies with our key cards ..only negative I would say is the bathroom is tiny and sink is outside bathroom which was strange. I would go back to this hotel again
"Blizzard, good toilet technology, but weird no-cash policy"
I love that hotel is well placed by the Metro. I was met by the Blizzard shutdown of March 2017 there so I had me a whole day staying in the room which hardly happens. I love the flush mechanism of the toilet. Fast, economic with water. What I found weird was the no-cash policy. On check in, I was told they can only take cash on check out. For folks who are willing to deposit cash on check in for incidentals.. it makes no sense. Especially if you come from Africa and use debit instead of credit cards (or no cards at all for many). For this reason, I will be hesitant to recommend the hotel for people coming from Africa...
