"Don't book here!"
Due to a medical issue I asked the hotel through the agency to change the dates of my reservation, even send the medical proofs, expecting some understanding from them to a customer and Oh surprise!! The hotel denied to help changing the dates and we loose the money paid because of the policy... My advice; either don't book here or definitely never pay up front!! Very unsatisfied and will ever use a Double tree again!!
"A Great hotel with a friendly staff!!!"
Nice location, free coffee downstairs in the morning. Great gym with up dated equipment. Close to the trolley and other public transportation. Walking distance to fashion valley mall and mission valley mall.
"Double Tree - San Diego-Del Mar"
Noisy heater, awakened us four times during night. Planter outside window was full of weeds. Charged for a pool view room but I had to stand on the sofa to see half of a pool. Moved to another room for second night of stay and again the heater was very loud. This Hilton is a no-no!
"Currently a guest here...NOT impressed"
Disappointed! Have only been at this hotel 1 hour and have had to change rooms twice. Noisy AC unit in first room, second room it didn't work at all and now I'm in a room with another loud unit and this floor smells of food grease. The only hotel employee that seemed to care at all was the maintenance person who came to check out my second room; other than that, I have heard from NO ONE. I have stayed at many other hotels in the del mar area in the same price range and will NOT stay here again! Wish I could switch hotels!
"Above and Beyond Service!"
I would like to thank DoubleTree By Hilton in Del Mar for their amazing service, follow up and generosity this Holiday Season. When I walked in the door I was warmly greeted by employee/receptionist Diana Habash. She had a huge smile on her face and listened attentively to my request, even though I could tell she was slammed. She told me that she needed to get approval from her HR Coordinator Monica Hunter who had just left for the evening. Diana asked for my business card and gave me her and Monica's business card (along with 4 delicious freshly baked cookies) in return. She told me that she would be sure to get in touch with Monica in regards to helping me and my Real Estate Team reach a goal for "20 in the Trunk" holiday cheer gift bags containing toiletrie donations for the needy. I was pleasantly surprised to open my email the following morning with a email from Monica asking how they could help. They reached out to me before I got around to contacting them! That is unheard of and was definitely unexpected. I will continue recommending family and friends to the DoubleTree when they come into town. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Keep up the awesome work DoubleTree! Thanks Again!! Danielle
