Always receive excellent service and a clean room. I stay there every year when I go into town. Staff is very good. They are very helpful and nice. the bar has excellent food. Only drawback is the living room furniture is uncomfortable. Beds are great though.
"No Hilton standards at all"
I expected a lot more from the hotel, given that we use doubletree Hiltons in London quite often, but unfortunately the standards are miles apart. The suites are well set up and ideal for family stay, not to mention the location. Everything is just outside the front door, the theatre ticket office, sightseeing buses, any organised tours, etc. However the rooms are very tired, we got a sheet with a huge whole in it, the carpet had a big iron burn mark and there was no shower gel provided at all! Only one tiny shampoo for 4 people... The bathroom definitely requires a good upgrade, very tired looking with old tiles, ugly shower curtain and wallpaper. If someone doesn't expect Hilton standards then it's ok, but doubletrees in the UK are definitely at a much higher standard. I found the concierge not particularly helpful, however they advertise to book shows, they didn't know much about jazz clubs and suggested for me to call them. Which I did and manage to get to one too, so they missed out on their commission. Nevertheless none of this ruined our holiday.
"hotel did great. parking service not so great."
loved how the hotel staff worked hard to help our stay flow smoothly. my ONLY beef is that the parking service brought my 2017 suburban back to me on the day we checked out WITH CONCRETE SPLASHED all over it. i didn't notice anything that didn't look like just some mud splashed on it, but it turns out that it's concrete. construction going on near the hotel is likely the reason, but man i would have hoped that for $65/night parking fees they'd have parked me away from splashing concrete areas.really bummed out about it because otherwise the hotel experience was great. now i'm stuck with trying to figure out how to remove about 100 dots of concrete from my suburban. ugh.
Brought my family for my 40th birthday. Room service was not available neither was food to go from the restaurant. Huge disappointed as this is an amenity I would never go without having known I would have booked somewhere else.
"Amazing Family Vacation"
Just returned yesterday from our 5 day stay at this hotel... The hotel's location is right smack in the middle of Times Square, perfect for getting around to see all the sites... The Subway entrances are literally right out the door of the hotel and also the "hop on hop off tours" are 3 min walking distance. The rooms were comfortable (great bedding) and came with wet bar, microwave and small refrigerator. The lobby was inviting, my only gripe was that there cocktails were sky high expensive, but hey, it's Time Square. Michael at the front desk was exceptional!!! Excellent customer service, very friendly and even remembered our names... He went above and beyond and even walked my friend outside of the hotel to show her how she would get to the "Wendy Williams Show." All in all, NYC is a wonderful place to vacation... So much to see, and this hotel made our visit very comfortable.
