"Renovated Premium rooms but still need improvement "
Located within 30minutes from NAIA airport , the hotel is well decorated . Thai hospitality. Took in room dining and ordered Signature salad . There is too much vinegar . Ask for replacement and was quickly served . This time I requested the vinegar not to be poured by Chef and diy. The surprise came later when the shower room glass door cannot be opened ' Called guest service and was told no rooms available for exchange . David the guest service manager ask engineering to come repair . All these within 30 minutes . Reasonable . But should not have happened in the first place . Enjoy the photos.
"Worst overnight stay ever."
Went for an overnight stay coz my company was having our year end party there. Got there no parking available, I asked the guard I was checked in the hotel and he told me I can go to Valet parking I asked him if I will be charged and he said no. Checked in was ok...people kept asking if they wanted help with the bags. The only help we got was having the luggaged put in the elevator. When I got in the room, the room seems old...well everything seems old..mini fridge...bathtub...tv was small and old. The bed was the worst it was so hard...its like putting a ply wood and maybe like 4 inches of foam on top of it...never got a good night sleep. Breakfast buffet...not the best I've had. The selection was so few...bacon looked good but when you bite into it...doesn't even have the flavor you get eating bacon. I was hoping for some dimsum...they didn't have any. Pancit bihon looked so dry and stale. Check out was the worst. Apparently they didnt charge the stay yet in my card had to pull it out when im carrying our luggages. Worst I asked the receptionist about the valet ticket about them not having parking. Initially they said I have to discuss it with Valet. I said I shouldn't be compelled to pay coz its not my fault the hotel didn't have parking when we were booked that night. We could have parked our own car. We wanted to get a few stuff in SM before we left. I asked hotel staff where the parking is...nobody even helped me carry it down the stairs. When we finally came back to the hotel.and went to get the keys in Valet. They planned to charge me. I told them the front desk waived it. They insist I am obligated to pay the 55 peso valet fee. They should have ample parking for all the guest and expect to make guest feel obligated to pay valet for their lack of planning on setting up the hotel. Never coming back to this place again.
"Dusit Thani Stay"
I was once again pleased with my stay at Dusit Thani. The restaurants were great and the staff was helpful as usual. The bed was comfortable and the room climate was easy to control. Housekeeping was quick to adjust to my sleeping habits and cleaned the room as soon as I left.
"Week in Makati "
The check in process could have been handled better, I didn't realise that the room key operated the lift so spent a confused half hour trying to get to the room, probably jet lag related. I stayed in an executive suite and it was huge, very comfortable and newly decorated. The club lounge was a nice place to escape the crowds, but the drinks were variable quality and strength. Didn't spend much time by the pool, the noise from the highway and smog made it less than relaxing, but I wasn't here on holiday. Very good breakfast selection and snacks from The Pantry. Overall it was a very good experience and I'd stay here again.
"Relaxing at Dusit Thani"
We visited again Dusit Thani as my treat to my daughter who was celebrating her birthday. As usual, we were welcomed by friendly staffs at the entrance. Checking in was a breeze, no hassle and quick. Upon entering the room, we felt "at home". I wanted to rest after the long trip. In the afternoon, we stroll and took sometime to see the view of the surroundings. We then, went back for the dinner at The Pantry. Food are great and have wide variety to choose from. Back to the room, shower room is fine. The toiletries are complete, the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion are superb. It pampers my body w/ the aromatic scent. Compared to last year, these sets are better. Night was cozy and relaxing. We had breakfast at The Pantry and had our stomach full. I chose some Filipino food, tapa egg and rice and fruits for dessert. The staffs are great when they sang a birthday song for my daughter. So happy to come again at Dusit Thani.
