First visit to this hotel. Just across from the Edinburgh Gateway Station. Was here for a works conference. Friendly staff at reception. Tea and coffee at break time and fresh water with ice and lemon every break also. Lunch was Buffett with choice of Pork, veg lasagne, pasta, salads etc. Then desserts and soup as well. Coffee and tea also. Staff very friendly and the man in charge was lovely as were other staff members and cleaned the tables very efficient. Sweets were also on tables too. Place was spotless. Never stayed but will perhaps think about it and menu for restaurant looked very good. Nice close to the Gyle shopping centre first class.
"Great city break hotel"
Stayed here for a wedding anniversary break away with my wife. The hotel was situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh but still within easy access to the city attractions. The room was very clean and well equipped and staff very friendly and helpful offering us an upgrade for our anniversary. Pool and spa area lovely and good breakfast. All in all a good stay and would stay here again when visiting the city. Cannot comment on car parking as travelled by train.
"Nice hotel by the airport"
If you plan to stay by the airport this is a very good choice. The rooms are big, the service is nice, there is sauna, steam room, small swimming pool and a gym. The breakfast is good. There is a small shopping mall nearby, next to the shopping mall there is a tram station which takes you directly to the center of the city (4 GBP for a daily ticket).
Stayed here for a weekend away in Edinburgh. Slightly further out of the city centre than i expected however the bus stop is right outside and buses run very frequent. Our room was nice and equipped with all amenities. Would stay here again.
"Excellent - Comfortable, Good Price and Good Location"
I stayed here with my Wife and 2 young children (1 year and 5 year old). The hotel is not far from Edinburgh Airport and is about 5-10 minute walk from the Edinburgh Gateway railway / tram station. There are excellent bus links in to town (Use the #31) but you will need the correct fare - you won't get change. The hotel itself is very clean and rooms are very spacious. We asked for a travel cot for our youngest and this was brought up along with a changing mat which was very useful. They even made the cot up with a comfortable mattress and sheets. I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Edinburgh.
