"Best of all you can imagine!"
This has been the third time we spent there. It's not only marvelous, the art in general in fantastic everywhere. You will find paintings and sculptures at you room, in the aisles, in the garden, everywhere! The restaurant is amazing, far away is the best one you can find in Bariloche. Need to make a reservation. Difficult to find a better place to stay at in Bariloche. Not even the Llao Llao can say "we are the best"... I have been in Llao Llao at least 3 times in my life, although it's fine it can't compare to El Casco... Go there, you will never regret it. All personnel is fantastic. Great view to the lake, and the swimming pool is also great.
"Disgusted with this hotel"
My wife and booked this hotel and paid in advance for one full week. A few days before our trip she broke her leg so we were unable to travel. I immediately called the hotel and asked if we could postpone our visit and at least receive partial credit. They flat out refused to many any change whatsoever without 100% penalty. First they blamed it on the booking service, but after several more phone calls it became clear that it was the hotel policy. I explained on phone and via email our medical emergency, but the reply I received the Mr. Pilar Lopez Ithurbide in the Reservations Department simply said "In the case of cancellation or modification, the total price of the reservation will be charged." The other hotels in Argentina were all very understanding and happily gave us credit for a future visit.
"El Casco Art Hotel, a gem in Bariloche, Argentina"
We had a lovely stay at the El Casco over Christmas. The rooms all looked out over the lake and were comfortable. The staff was warm and solicitous. They had very helpful suggestions for visiting Bariloche. Although the hotel is 11 km out of town, it was easy to get around. The restaurant was lovely.
"Stunning location in an old school property"
Although the Llao Llao was rated higher, I booked this hotel because it seemed more boutiqish and was had stayed in the Park Hyatts in BA and Mendoza so wanted something different. The property is small and beautiful, all rooms except too overlook the lake and the entire property is built around the lake. The rooms are good, old school so many light switches and missing some of the newer amenities, but extremely comfortable. Slept beautifully and the view I woke up was priceless. Staff was great, tried very hard. Breakfast was good but could do with mixing it up as every day was the same. Highly recommend it!
We were 7 at this very nice hotel's restaurant with a private access to the lake ( beautiful view ) and all our family was very pleased with the wine and the food ! Each course we ordered was excellent and the service quick and efficient . It's 20 minutes away from the Lao Lao hotel by car .
