"El Dorado Maroma; Luxury and Pampering Galore!"
We've been to other El Dorado properties (Seaside and Royale) and all are fabulous but the Maroma is a different experience. It's quieter than the others which was the type of vacation we were seeking. The beach is incredible and the care taken every day to clean the washed up vegetation was impressive. We stayed in a beachfront 2 level suite. It was spotless and beautifully decorated. There were 3 showers for 2 of us! We had our own pool and reserved beach beds. The food was amazing at all of the restaurants so I can't recommend one over another. On our last night we had a chef prepare our dinner in our suite. It was delicious! The service was always top notch but mostly our 2 butlers, Ricardo and Oscar. They were very professional and attentive but not intrusive. Somehow they managed to surprise us every day with something thoughtful. We have not regretted our Karisma membership once and will continue vacationing in the Riviera Maya a few times a year.
We just got back from 5 days at El Dorado Maroma and it was amazing! From the staff, to the food, to the room, to the grounds everything was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. When we arrived we had some issues and they were quickly fixed. We ended up in the Palafito Overwater Bungalows and so happy we did. They were paradise! The rooms are extremely clean and very spacious. Our butlers Juan and Fernanda were awesome. No matter what it was it was their pleasure. Always checking in on us and getting us whatever we needed. Nothing was too big or small. Restaurants: I have to say all the the food was amazing - when they say gourmet it was definitely gourmet. You don't usually get that at all inclusive resorts. The alcohol was all top shelf (you have to request it though in your drinks but most of the time they automatically give it to you). We ate at Lima Limon the first night and it was pretty good! Our favorite was the Overwater Restaurant - from the king crab legs, to the sea bass to the soups everything was awesome! We ate there several times. We also ate at Caribbean grill which was ok but still good. We ordered room service every morning on our balcony which was probably the best omelets we've ever had. We would also venture to Papitos for the buffet which exceeded our expectations for breakfast. So many fruits I've never tried - fresh juices (carrot was my favorite) everything was awesome. The staff was so nice as well! My husband got room service every night - chicken quesadillas and chicken caesar salad were awesome. Our beach butler Daisy was a breath of fresh air every morning. She was always so cheery and nice! Giovanni our beach bartender was also great! Alex the activities guy was hilarious - took us snorkeling and kayaking! Always there to help and again it was always his pleasure! So nice! We did venture over to the main pool a lot - Rene and Diego were so nice! Made great drinks and always so happy! Nightlife: There isn't much but we were ok with that. One night there was a band that was actually really fun but most nights we called it quits early. My only complaint is even though it is all inclusive you are expected to tip a lot. We kind of expected it but you would get more service if you tipped more often. There are resorts that I visit and will say "ok I did that I want to try something new" but this is one of those resorts that I will definitely have to come back to. Thank you for a great vacation!
A small resort where the staff is all about their client and making every moment special. Nothing like going to a place where people remember you and your name from previous trips. The food was spectacular and the relaxation amazing. A special shout out to Jonas, Alex, Aurelio, Penny, Angle, Pedro Louis, Jorge and Carlos. You leave feeling like you have made new friends.
"Excellent Wedding Anniversary Experience"
We have just returned from a 7 day wedding anniversary trip. We have visited the Mexican Myan Riveria many times, however this was our first visit to El Dorado Maroma. Based on our research and many TripAdvisor comments, our expectations were completely exceeded from the moment we first arrived to our departure 7 (fast) days later. The property is situated on a beautiful stretch of Maroma Beach. The buildings and grounds are exceptional and well maintained. Access to amenties, resturants, bars and etc (is) easily accessible from anywhere in the resort. There is nightly entertainment and pretty quite by 10PM. The best attribute of El Dorado Mroma is the staff. These are some of the hardest working, genuinely friendly people we have ever encountered traveling anywhere. All are to be commended, however several stood out as excellent ambassadors for their resort; Janelly and Fabiola (Papitos Resturant), Dennis (Mexican Restaurant), Luis (Lima Lemon Resturant), Miguel, Ricardo and Jennifer (Caribbean Grill), Dora (Beach / 24 Bar), Ruben, Sergio and Jennifer (Valentines Day Special Dinner), Eva and Lorena (SPA), and a very special thanks to Paola from Concierge Services.
"Over the Top and Over the Water"
Just got back from a week at Maroma, and have also stayed at El Dorado Royal Casitas in the past and if you like Beach, the Maroma has the best beach. We upgraded to Palafitos for two nights and they are incredible. But the over the top moment came from Daisy the beach butler who brought us coconut ice cream and Liquor 43 late in the afternoon out of the blue.....truly unexpected and 'over the top'. The service is friendly and spot on all the time every day, and they all deserve a standing ovation. We also got to watch the Super Bowl on the beach. They set up a massive TV screen (at least 30' x 20', maybe bigger!!) Food and Cocktails during the entire game and Lady Gaga, it was another over the top moment and would go down next year to watch it there!!!
