"Cozy place in amazing city"
Great location, in a quiet area, but still close to everything. Metro station (red line) less than 5 minutes away. The room was quiet and cosy, good size, nicely decorated and warm - very important considering that outside was snow storm when I arrived to Stockholm. Both bed and the pillow were so soft and comfy - I really slept like a baby. Breakfast is great and so varied - loved that there is fish and vegetables and fruit. Everything was okay, but could be improved, for example - cleaning was okay, but not really thorough, staff is okay but not fully customer dedicated. Still - I am satisfied witth my stay: it's a good hotel, but could be much better.
"A very good hotel"
A clean friendly hotel at a good location. Rooms are of good size with comfy beds. There is no lock on the bathroom door though. I'd rate this as a three star hotel due to small selection at the breakfast. You even had to pay extra for real coffee eg latte. The gym is very small and there's no pool.
"A contempory dip into the 50s"
It is not the hotel that you might choose if you are into old city, and major sights. But it is close to the University, and the Technical University - and this is not by accident. (read on), and well-connected to the central railway station, with bus and train to airports. I had an incredibly friendly person at the reception, and talking about the weather were I came from, and that in Stockholm, was not the usual service talk, but genuine interest. I had booked a night too many, but this was solved in a second, while still debating by snow had to come already end October. The place is a 50ies building, and recent renovation has merged the flair of this epoch with the today's Nordic style of simple elegance. I just felt at home, quiet but not alone. There is a small information in your room folder, which disclose the mystery of this building: it has been a student hostel in the past, and an Indian coming to Stockholm for study, got the idea that rooms could be rented out during the long summer holidays. This is how it started, and its a lesson of how good ideas are born: somebody looks on the same reality from a slightly different angle. If you are not convinced: it has good breakfast.
This hotel positions itself as one that has a free shuttle from the airport, which was the reason we've chosen it for our layover stay near the Munich airport. We arrived at the airport at 3 pm and wanted to take a free shuttle, but then we learned that the shuttle is available only after 6 pm. We had a choice to stay at the airport for 3 hours and wait or take a taxi. Since we were tired and needed to rest, we had to take a taxi. A less than 10-minute ride cost us 15 Euros ($20). We are very disappointed and would NOT recommend this hotel. What a SCAM!
"The hotel is ideally located for those working or visiting with the Stockholm University"
The room is simple but comfortable, in the good Scandinavian tradition. Free Wi-Fi, TV, etc. I was particularly impressed by the quality and friendliness of the attention by all employees. They really get out of their way to make your visit easier and pleasant.
