"Excellent chic hotel with the best view in Sevilla"
Excellent hotel stay. We were greeted by Irene, our concierge, who was excellent thoughout the trip with a glass of champagne. She helped us make reservations for real alcazar and the flamenco museum. She and all of the other staff were great throughout the stay, gave us excellent reccomendations and tips for the best restaurants and sight seeing in Sevilla. The hotel view is uncomparable and the location just as great. Cool roof top bar with good drinks. Will definetele reccomend to anyone and will stay here again when I come back.
"Excellent Location...Steps away from cathedral"
Location of this hotel is excellent. It is steps away from worlds largest Gothic cathedral (St Mary). All other tourist spots are walk able distance. Staff is very hospitable and their local recommendations for food and shows are quiet good.
"Stylish modern hotel in the historic centre of Seville"
The hotel is located directly opposite the Cathedral in central Sevilla. We arrived by car and were welcomed efficiently by the concierge staff. Parking is €30 per night and there is no real alternative in the surrounding area. As with many aspiring quality hotels we were greeted by a member of the management who sorted out the logistics and gave us a tour of the hotel and showed us to our room. The room is a modern conversion in an ancient building so some design compromises have been made. The quality of the fittings and the bath and shower were top class. The room fell down in two areas firstly, the toilet and bidet were located in small corridor room behind the sinks which made for a very claustrophobic experience. Secondly and more irritating was the very poor sound insulation. Being located in the very heart of the city you expect a lot of noise in the streets but the windows above a busy alleyway has single glazing and very ineffective shutters. At times it felt as if passers by were having a conversation in the room! We had a meal in the "Lobby" restaurant on the night of arrival ~ the food and service were good and were typical of Andalucian cuisine. We also had drinks in the roof terrace bar - it has a great atmosphere and is very popular with non-residents. The views over the city are stunning although the resident DJ seemed to be stuck in the early noughties for his choice of music. Overal a quality hotel in a great location and an excellent base to see the beautiful city of Sevilla.
"Good location, too heavy on the swank"
The location of this hotel is easily the best attribute, being just opposite the cathedral and a stones throw to tons of shopping and food options. We stayed here for three nights in November, but outside of the location - found that the hotel didn't quite meet the expectations of the price tag. The hotel was clean, but rooms are terribly dark and seemed to forget many of the obligatory items that make hotels liveable. There are very few spare power points, requiring you to charge the phone in the bathroom, there is a terrific bathtub but no shower. There is no ironing board or iron, I'm sure that one could have been requested, but I wouldn't have been able to plug it in without sacrificing the lights needed to see what I was doing. The wifi is pretty poor no matter where I stood in the hotel. The closet is a hook on the wall covered by a stringy curtain, and throughout the reception and common areas a fresh scent is used - which was nice at first, but later felt a bit too strong. Design wise, the hotel is very cool and modern. The bed was nice and big, and comfortable. The missing features probably outweighed those that were redeeming though, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel overall - especially at a 5 star price point.
