Hotel is located above Emplisis bay, close to the picturesque port and fishing village of Fiskardo, which is within close proximity; it will take not more than 15 minutes to reach, walking distance. The hotel lies just 1h 15m away from Cephalonia airport and the ferry port of Sami is just 50 minutes away. It is 60klm from Poros port, your destination port if you travel from Kyllini. It takes less than an hour to go to the capital of the island, Argostoli. Many magnificent beaches to choose, closest is just 100m far from the reception area.
"Romantic and relaxing hotel "
My partner and I stayed in this hotel in summer, I would definitely recommend it for couples and even families. The pools (mainly infinity pools) have a fantastic view plunging into the sea. The hotel is very quiet and the service top notch !
"What a relaxing Place to go"
Lovely hotel just up the hill from Fiscardo but there a courtesy cars to run up and down as requires. The hotel offers magnificent views over the sea with a wide variety of type of rooms and a various prices. The facilities are second to none and of course a lovely choice of restaurants serving both Greek and International food of the highest order. The staff and service were great and nothing was too much bother. If you are thinking of a relaxing holiday in Kefallinia then there are none better than the Hotel Emelisse
"Lovely hotel, with a beautiful vista!"
We stayed for a week in September. After the drive from the airport the staff were very welcoming on arrival, offering a drink and a sit down, with no lengthy check in procedures. We had just booked a standard garden room, but got a free upgrade to a room with a fantastic sea view and private pool. Really liked the modern decked out rooms and lovely toiletries. We appreciated the hotel's free shuttles to Fiskardo near by which we made use of several nights so that we could have a drink over dinner and didn't need to drive. We had dinner several nights by the pool side restaurant, hardly ever had a steak that size! On our final night there was bad weather, but the staff were as friendly as ever, and served dinner in the breakfast room giving us a free dessert as it was our last night. Great breakfast spreads too. Although the pool was a little on the chilly side given we visited come the end of season, it was actually warmer in the sea. Embilisi beach was only a short walk from the beach, including a very handy beach side bar. There was also the option to walk down from the pool and enjoy the bean bags to relax down by the rocks by the sea. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel, a very romantic setting, particularly the candle lit pathways by night. Would definitely recommend it.
"Best in Fiskardo"
Pros: Location, location, location. nice walking path to downtown Fiskardo. We took it multiple times per day. If it rains it can be muddy, but then just take the road instead. There are plenty of beaches and hikes within walking distance as well (we did the Battery hike, message me if you want details as there is little info on this trail). Pool/billiards table is nice it is located in the common area and we used it on a rainy day. We didn't use the pool but it looked very nice. The "beach" at the hotel consists of very cool rocks that are great to explore. Easy access for ocean swimming and snorkeling (although we saw few fish). Grounds are beautiful. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. Cons: our room was very dark. I also got a hefty electrical shock from an old lamp in the room with frayed wiring. We reported it and it was immediately fixed but the wiring was clearly frayed. Maybe they should fix all frayed wiring before someone with a heart condition gets a shock. Also breakfast is super chaotic, not at all relaxing. Maybe it was because it was rainy and the balcony was closed. Not great service during breakfast and just a typical buffet, nothing special.
"Lovely hotel in a fantastic setting"
We spent a week at the Emelisse Hotel in October, it was quieter but absolutely delightful. The views are outstanding and we were upgraded to a junior suite with a sea view due to the hotel not being full. The rooms are very tasteful, comfy beds with linen changed daily. Breakfast was excellent, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese and eggs. The staff were warm and friendly, highly professional. There is a short walk into Fiskardo, about 5 minutes across some scrub land, would recommend a torch to come back at the end of the night though. The area is beautiful, lovely beaches, lots of walks and a splendid hotel! Lovely dog, Benny, in the lobby and a young ginger tom kitten in the grounds to add to the charm!
