The Empire Hotel’s coveted location puts guests within convenient proximity to some of New York’s top attractions. For instance, Just across the street, guests can walk to overlook the renowned Lincoln Center which includes the Metropolitan Opera House, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Alice Tully Hall, all host to top live performances and major global events in the world all year-round. In the opposite direction, guests will find Central Park and Columbus Circle less than a few short blocks away.
Really enjoyed the experience - bed was very comfortable, the pool/rooftop lounge was fabulous and location was perfect. Definitely plan a return trip. My only comment is that the bathroom on the M floor should be cleaned a bit more often throughout the day.Comment of R. Laila , United States the 2016-06-21

"Great location, great service"
We stayed here overnight since we had back to back shows to attend in town. The location was terrific for us. The room was surprisingly quiet from both street and guest noise. The bed was a little hard for my husband but no real complaints. We would certainly stay again.
"Great time in NY"
Only had 3 nights starting on the 5th Jan. the first room was too small for two people but they did move us up to the 8th floor over looking the Lincoln center which was much better. Great location near Central Park and close to Broadway,7th and 8th ave. we walked to the Empire state building on 42nd st , so every thing is quite close. Good restaurants near by but best to Google other cheaper places in the area if you want a full meal. The pound to Dollar means almost 1 to 1 , so a burger attached to the Hotel on the left as you leave have Burgers for 18$ basic with extras at 23/4$. Beers are 8$ so take some duty free before you go out. Nice Hotel and friendly staff. You must go up to the rooftop restaurant / bar. Best to go mid Jan to mid Feb as the prices are much lower. Would book again.
"Always the Empire!"
This was my 5th stay at the Empire and although I know there are a lot of great hotels in Manhattan, I'm just in love with everything about the Empire and I've made it my go-to hotel when I go to NYC. The UWS location is perfection and I love the staff, the bar, the views of Lincoln Center, the decor - the whole package! Can't wait to go back this year!!! <3
" Big disappointment "
I have stayed in motels for $75.00 a night that were many times nicer than this one. The room is tiny, there is no closet space, the bathroom is designed for undersized humans and they charge $10.00 a day for internet access. There is nothing good to say about this hotel. The only thing going for it is location. It is across the street from Lincoln Center. My advice, just find somewhere else to stay.
"Good location, bad presentation. Pricey."
Decent looking hotel across the street from Lincoln Center/Opera House. We stayed there the night after the show, and the convenience was great, especially since it was raining. Overall, cleanliness was good, the bed was comfortable, and the check-in/checkout was quick and smooth. However, a lot of the details I look for in a nice (expensive) hotel were just not there. I tried calling the front desk (both before and during my stay), and a lot of times the phone would just ring and ring, and they wouldn't answer. Location is nice, but traffic started up LOUD at 7:00 AM. Water pressure at the bathroom sink was too high, and the faucet was oriented poorly, so it was awkward to use, and I kept splashing myself with water. One of the lamps had a broken knob. They provided complimentary k-cups but everything was decaf. They provided only one robe...and it was tiny (it just fit my wife, who is 5'1" size 2). I called down for a second, but the desk said they only have one size, so the robe might fit 10% of people who stay' Why even bother' Overall, I would probably not stay there again. The value just didn't meet the price. You can get similar service (and free breakfast/wifi) at a much cheaper place. You won't have the robe...but I didn't either. If you want a step up in quality, there are several other places nearby with a similar price point to choose from. They might be better.
