"Staycation weekend "
I had a lovely time at the Epic. Thanks for Zachary for his final touches getting my reservation set and finally sending a lovely amenity to my room. I was able to enjoy a weekend in town away from home. Big thank you to Chantel, the voice of Kipsu, for her quick responsiveness. Gabriel at the pool, so attentive and helpful, really nice guy to have in the team. He helped everyday I was there. The gentleman that checked me in was also nice and accommodating. I will be back!
"Epic' The name does not match the room!"
I was in Miami for business. The pictures of the hotel are outstanding! But the room was a bit disappointing! The hotel did an awesome job with the lobby area, the bathroom, and the overall service but I found the room itself small, a bit lacking, and somewhat dull. The bathroom was outstanding! Well appointed and very modern. The bed was small but was actually quite comfortable in spite of the size. The location was OUTSTANDING and the views were awesome as well.
Another great experience at the Epic Kimpton Hotel. Great view, great location and great room. Wonderful breakfast, friendly staff. Party by the pool and nice diner. You should try! I will return again and again.
"Happy Birthday stay"
In this hotel I decided to stay for my birthday with my family, two room with balcony overlooking the sea; The check-in was quick and very cordial by Ivanna. The rooms are very spacious not to be suites, The view from the balconies is spectacular; The rooms very clean, the pool area very nice, the pool staff was excellent. Very good pinas coladas, not very good Caipirinhas. The American buffet breakfast for $ 25 was fair for the price, the special were benedetic Eggs and salmon (not very regular); The restaurant outside has a great view of the city.Valet parking sometimes quite busy (recommendation to send a text message before leaving to shorten the waiting time of your car) Conclusion: The Best of the hotel: rooms with balconies, with ocean / bay view even better. The staff was very friendly, attentive and professional. What was not so "Epic": The rooms hear some noise from nearby rooms (hammering or repairs at 8 AM), price-value buffet. With regard to the detail of feeling special for my birthday was not much, Ivanna had the gesture of putting the second room with late check-out and another bottle of sparkling wine, outside of that nothing more special (not even a very small cake)
First real visit to downtown Miami, and the Epic is the place to be! Fantastic location and once you arrive in the beautiful surroundings it will be hard to leave. The lobby has a distinct modern feel with sophisticated art throughout, and in the mornings a yogi greets the day with you, almost like watching a dancer or performance artist. My room was huge and overlooked the bay, a perfect perch for both the morning light and watching it turn to dusk. Awesome big TV and enough space to live and work, with a lovely balcony. A rain shower and big tub are also some nice and relaxing indulgences. Do eat there where you can, if you are into cakes and sweets the pastry chef is a true artist.
