The Hotel in Rome, is set in a privileged location in the Italian capital. It is situated in the centre of a triangle formed by the Fontana di Trevi, the Piazza Venezia and the Piazza della Repubblica. Our Hotel Rome Termini is very near the Via Veneto and the Piazza di Spagna, as well as the Diocletian Baths, Santa Maria degli Angeli, Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum, the Quirinale, the Trajan Column and the Fori Imperiali. It is a Rome Termini hotel, it is just 400 metres from the Rome Termini station.

"Location is Superb! Rooms are extremely small!!"
Checkin was very smooth and the staff at the concierge were helpful too. The Location is the best thing about this hotel. Right in the middle of the city, next to loads of shops and restaurants and a short walk to the attractions of the city of Rome. Biggest issue was the size of the room & the shower. I have never stayed in a smaller room then this in my life. It was soo tiny it was in fact scary. They just about fit in a double bed, which meant even walking in the room was a difficult task. The shower was so small that you cannot basically clean yourself, everytime you try doing so your arms will hit the halls, shower or the shower screen. It was a real task trying to have a shower. Luckily we were in the hotel just to sleep as the rest of our day was spent outdoors in the beautiful city. The hotel from the outside is very beautiful and palace like, but that ends as soon as you get to the reception, the rooms are ridiculously outdated as well. Only reason why this has got a 3 star from me is because of location. Apart from that not so sure.
"Excellent value for money in a superb location."
Have recently stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The entrance and reception area is very grand and looks impressive on arrival. The staff at the front desk were always very friendly, polite and accomodating. Once you pass through the grand entrance the rest of the hotel does come down a notch in the decour department. (just thought it was worth mentioning as when you search for images of the hotel, most show the grand entrance and reception) Our room was on the 6th floor and had an inward view of the courtyard which was not much to look at (Pics attached) but did allow for a lot of light into the room. The room was furnished nicely although it wasnt huge, it had plenty of space for two and the shower room had a shower, toilet, bidet and basin. (Although the shower did not drain very well and we had to allow time between showers for it to drain - my only complaint really) On your way out before reception there was a table with lemon and lime water, fresh fruit, sweets and chocolates which was a nice touch. (Free of Charge) The location of the hotel was its best feature with it being on Via Nazionale which is an excellent place to be. This was my first time visiting Rome and with the help of the guide we managed to walk to pretty much all of the main attractions from this location. The Colosseum was about 10-15 mins away, likewise for the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon and the Piazza Venezia was even closer. What was also great was the fact that 2-3 mins away was St Pauls within the Walls, a church where they had Opera and we visited there to see La Traviata which was a great experience. Oh and lastly the main train station is 5-10 mins around the corner with great access to and from the Fiumicino airport. All in all I would highly recommend as a perfect hotel for a short trip to Rome. If like us you tend to just sleep at the hotel then spend most of your time out exploring its the perfect place for you.
"Last minute trip to Rome"
The hotel is in a good location only a 10/15 minute walk from the station and within walking distance to the Colluseum. The room was very small with minimum daylight. The breakfast was varied and a good start to the day. We weren't in the room too much as we were out most of the day so didn't bother changing rooms but not sure I would stay again. Basically the hotel is ok and does the job.
"Decent if pricey hotel"
We stayed for four nights here last week for our honeymoon. Pluses certainly outweigh the minuses and include its location, friendly and helpful staff, a decent breakfast and some thoughtful tips such as leaving fresh grapefruit and nibbles out for the guests when we have come back from a day's sightseeing. The foyer in particular is very smart as is the restaurant. On the negatives, our superior room wasn't particularly large or particularly superior given how much it costs. The bathroom was small and the air con was a bit disfunctional. Obviously it's in a very old building and so you expect some quirks, but I think the overall finish should be better of the rooms and some of areas of the hotel. Overall though it's a decent hotel and one worth considering especially given how central you are.
"Disappointing poorly maintained suite offering."
Apologies loyal readers as I know it has been a while since I last reviewed a hotel but fear not I've just downloaded the TA app so hope to be posting again more regularly. My single night stay at this establishment started well with the friendly reception staff allowing an almost 3 hours early check-in. Early merit points earned! After taking the lift to the 6th floor accessing my suite became the first problem as one of the 2 key cards provided didn't work and opening the door required a knack I had not mastered by the end of my 24 hour stay. First impression on entering was of a reasonable size suite however due to lack of natural light the overall feel was dark and semi-depressing. Overall the suite consisted of a lounge area partitioned off from a sleeping area with a very large king sized bed and a separate single bed. Sleep quality wasn't great as the mattress did not belong in a 4 star establishment. I needed hotel maintenance in order to use the safe and the overall quality of decor and furnishings did not merit the price charged. Clearly the hotel was saving money as whilst there was a TV in the bedroom area there wasn't one in the lounge area - not my expectation from a suite. Bathroom was average and featured bidet, hairdryer, plenty of free takeaway toiletries and amply clean towels. For the price though I would have expected at least a separate shower (not one in the bath) and double sinks. Breakfast selection was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold offerings. My only negative would be the quality of the fruit juices on offer which were dispensed via a machine and all options were sickly sweet concentrate variety. Location of the hotel is fantastic with the lots of the main headline attractions being within easy walking distance (e.g. Quirinal Palace, Colosseum & Trevi Fountain). The area around the hotel also has plenty of shops and restaurants if you don't feel like straying far - although it would be a crime not to explore the Eternal City. In summary expensive, poor suite rooms in an average hotel but in a great location.
