We had a great time at this hotel. Very good service and staff as well. The view was spectacular as my student from Italy is a photography. The service was great. Our room had everything needed for our stay. We had a great time in Toronto
The trip started off great. Friendly staff at check-in, clean room, extremely nice room actually. Definitely a boutique upscale feel. Unfortunately at 430am the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate.
"Like a RAD studio apartment!"
Fly thru Pearson or City Airport. Get out at Union and walk through the impressive Toronto Financial District. It rivals The one in New York. Stroll up Yonge. Make a right down a Tony street. Check in to the unassuming low key concierge. Swipe the key in the elevator for your floor (security!) and get into the room. Amenities! Fancy mini living room. Mini kitchen. Comfy enough bed. Washer-freakin-dryer en suite. I would have wanted this as my long term apartment when I was single. The restaurant was great too. Try the charred-half-a-head-of-romaine Caesar salad.
Starting with the positives: the desk staff are consistently wonderful: friendly and helpful. I could not get my tablet to work, and staff tried so hard to help (though to no avail) Our room was clean and spacious, so nice to have the bedroom separate, and, yes, the beds are comfy. Having a kitchen is a bonus. And the location is amazing, especially if you enjoy walking, as we do. Plus, this is one of the few hotels that still offers balconies. The Cosmo, when we stayed years ago, was quite delightful. Water features in the room, even! Now, the décor is a bit tired, only one of 2 blinds in our bedroom worked, and those awful environmentally-unfriendly Keurig coffee machines (grrr...) The only lounge seating was one love seat so, though the room is spacious, my sister and I had to sit right beside each other. It's a decent hotel, and if you're staying on an executive company's dime, this is as good - or better than other hotels in the area.
"Almost Perfect Toronto Hideaway"
Everything about this hotel is great, apart from a rather dark bedroom (only one bedside lamp and a tiny desk lamp)... but that's being picky. Small but very comfortable and just off of Yonge Street. We'll definitely stay again.
