Fantastic hotel made by architect Phillip Stark. Sophisticated modern and up to date. Wonderful service. Nice drinks. Nice gourmet restaurant. Expensive' Yes. But if you can afford this is a must go place.
we spent a great weekend in Bs Aires. The staff (especially Maricruz) was very helpful and very kind. The location is great, the rooms are clean and beautiful, the restaurants are all very good. My only complaint is about the bar - we went for a drink as soon as we arrived, and I believe the staff considered us a bit underdressed for the place.
"Excellent choice in BsAs"
Great hotel, well located and with a wonderful staff and food. At night there is always an entertainment option at the bar, what makes it even more pleasant. The hotel also has swimming pool, gym and spa. Definitely a luxury place, but worth each cent spent.
If you prefer to feel inspired and impressed, you should definitely stop at Faena chain. Its a masterpiece hotel, full of artistic and historical details. Feel the Argentinian taste, style, mood. Recommending!
This is supposed to be amongst the best hotels in Buenos Aires, and for nearly $600 a night, you would expect the service and accommodations to be flawless. Well, the honest truth. It is not. Lets start with the unenthusiastic and aloof ladies at the check in. They were unable to greet me on a personalised way, or even make the slightest effort to appear warm. I booked a corner studio, which is exactly what I got, but on the second floor and with a strong smell of paint on hallways. As for the room, it is very nice indeed, but worn out in some aspects which are unacceptable for the price. For example the fact they is an old 32" TV screen which is worn out (not working right), and a mattress which has had clearly better days. (note- there is no kettle or nespresso machine in the room) But the worse, was a constant noise coming out of the cistern or the WC. You could hear some dipping which was very annoying. Also, we tried to book massages, but at 2.00 pm they were fully booked for the day, so we could not have one. Finally, the attitude again upon breakfast and check out, seems like it is "trade mark" of the hotel. In conclusion: PROS - safe location for buenos aires - great decor - good size rooms CONS - rude staff - worn out TV and Mattress - no nespresso machine in the room - food quality on the library and el mercado, not great. Next time, I will choose Hyatt or Four Seasons, a lot more solid product.
