"Vancouver's crown jewel"
This was our second visit to the Fairmont Pacific Rim. This hotel is superb in every respect. The location is the best in Vancouver, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are gloriously modern and the full length glass windows in the bathrooms a real treat. We stayed for New Years Eve and were made to feel very special by the staff. The rooms were very quiet amidst all the festivities around the harbour foreshore. The restaurants, particularly the sushi bar (Raw Bar) and the Giovane cafe were impeccable! Best coffee in Vancouver, possibly Canada. Do yourself a favour- treat yourself to a stay at The Pacific Rim. We can't wait to return.
Stayed here in July for a three nights for the first time, although have been to the restaurants and bars a number of times since it has been open. This is now my top pick for hotels anytime I am in Vancouver. Of course, the location and views are stunning, and the hotel itself is so beautiful. Had the breakfast there a few times also, and it had a great selection and everything was delicious. Wouldn't change a thing
"Just as fabulous second time round"
We stayed for 2 nights in mid Dec in a double queen harbour view room for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 8 and 9). This was a return visit having stayed last June during a summer trip to Canada where we stayed 5 nights in total. We love this hotel (and Fairmonts in general). The service is amazing and so are the rooms. The finishes are first class and they are lovely and spacious. Breakfast is one of the best we've had in all hotels we've stayed at. The Raw bar and the foyer bar is also great, all though it can be very busy and loud (both a good thing for atmosphere but some times a little loud with children). The concierge are so helpful and friendly and will arrange many things, inc bikes and soccer tix during our summer stay. The location is fantastic. Just across the road from the waterfront, and you can ride direct to Stanly park but also very easy to walk up to the downtown shops. In summer we had Canada Day celebrations directly across from us and in winter the Xmas markets. Check in and check out is so easy and you never have to queue. During our visit last year my daughter had lost a toy bear from a visit to another Fairmont property and while we where on a cruise the hotel even purchased a replacement bear and left it in our room on check in as a surprise when we returned. She was absolutely thrilled and so were we. Service like this really is so special!!
"Perfect location prior to cruising"
We stayed a few nights in a Presidents Club room prior to going on a cruise to Alaska. This was our first visit to Vancouver and the location couldn't have been better, a block away from the cruise terminal and with stunning views overlooking the float plane harbour and Stanley Park, with easy access to the boardwalk for our early morning jogs, and a mere 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown for shopping and museums. The room was big enough to accommodate a roll-away bed for our daughter and more than comfortable enough. The real gems for this hotel are: 1. Location 2. Free bicycle use to cycle around Stanley Park, no time limits 3. Presidents Club Lounge- a spacious lounge with books and magazines, viewing deck, and a fantastic array of food & drinks for afternoon tea and evening canapés, also serves breakfasts as alternative to the main restaurant. 4. Free limousine transfers in a brand new BMW 7 Series within approx 15 minute drive time, they even give you a number to phone to be collected! 5. The Presidents Club Lounge has its own concierge to arrange any bookings you require and check-in/out are done here which is quick and quiet, no hordes of people.
Loved this resort from the moment we entered the property to the second we left. They upgraded us to an amazing view room on the 18th floor. We had the most spectacular view of the water, mountains, seaplanes taking off and landing. A small balcony made stepping out into the cool winter elements a pleasure. We had a great room, super comfortable bed, electronic everything, curtains and sheers electronically controlled by the bedside or by an I pad. Amazing bathroom with tub and separate shower, rain fall shower head and moveable shower arm. Glass Barn door to the private water closet. Great bed turn down service, free shoe care while you sleep and an amazing TV set with the best quality picture and another TV in the mirror in the bathroom, too cool!! The hotel has a wonderful spa and because I am a Fairmount Presidential Guest, we were able to use the locker room, hot tub and steam rooms. Amazing!!! Great gym that we used a couple of times, large quality equipment and they offer classes too. The only thing we were not happy was that we were unable to book a massage, must be good if they had no times available for us. The property offered us numerous times rides in their fleet of BMW's to restaurants and shopping. I know where I will stay next time.
