"Balinese Inspired Bliss"
The Fairmont Sanur is on the quieter southern end of the Sanur Beach strip. It is located in a quiet laneway that runs between the main road and the beach path that follows the coast. The resort is designed to highlight Balinese decor and simplicity, but is still beautifully appointed. The very spacious room had a great bathroom with twin vanity's, walk in shower and seperate WC. The main room was spacious, but the outdoor room attached with large screens and blinds was the highlight. We spent most of our stay out in this area, and it's a great place to indulge with in-room dining. It has enormous day beds, TV, mini bar, table & chairs and ceiling fans. We stayed in an Ocean View suite (416) and you look out over the resort to the ocean beyond. The elevation captures some great breezes and I would recommend requesting a room on a higher floor. The breakfast buffet was substantial, varied and on par for a hotel of this rating. The highlight of this hotel would have to be the staff. Their friendliness, hospitality and desire to assist was faultless. I have very few criticisms of the resort - it's a beautiful place to unwind. A few points for consideration: 1. Spoke to reception to arrange a driver for 8hr trip to Ubud. Price quoted was 1.8 million IDR plus tax and charges. This equates to approx $200 AUD and is just extortionate given that a driver in an equal car for the same amount of time sourced just outside was 650,000 IDR ($65 AUD). Whilst I understand a need for a mark up by the hotel, this is just preying on unsuspecting tourists - I am a frequent traveller to Bali and couldnt believe this huge mark up. Make sure you broker your transport independently. 2. The bath tubs in the rooms are beautiful - but impossible to recline in! The design doesn't really cradle the body and its hard to recline in them without sliding around (or under water). I would recommend bath tub pillows to cradle the neck and perhaps a non slip insert. I would sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxation break in sleepy Sanur. I love that they have resisted the ultra-modern craze that is so popular with Bali resorts these days, and retained a distinctly Balinese feel with their accommodation.
"ohhh! We love fairmont."
This hotel was the best ever. We had 5 nights at Fairmont Sanur. The hotel was huge and near the sanur beach. Love the view, cleanness, and other facilities. If we come to Bali, we're gonna stay here again.
"Beautiful serene resort, with great staff"
It's set in the relatively quiet fishing village of Sanur and is the place to be if your idea of a vacation is to sit back and relax. For those who enjoy the hustle and bustle, places like Kuta and Seminyak are just a half hour cab ride away. The resort is beautiful and well maintained, and has an authentic Balinese feel to it. Rooms are large and luxurious. The restaurants serve good, authentic local cuisine. The highlight was the main pool - an Olympic sized infinity pool looking out into the ocean and is a great place to cool off on a hot day. But the absolute stand out thing about Fairmont Sanur is the staff. Everyone is so warm and friendly. You are always greeted with a smile and they do their best to make your stay memorable. Thank you to everyone at Fairmont Sanur for making it a wonderful vacation for my wife and I.
"Brilliant beachfront location. 🏖🏖🏝🌴😎🍹"
We didn't stay at the Fairmont but visited for dinner. As Accor Platinum members we thought we would check out the hotel for future interest. The hotel location on the beachfront is brilliant & the hotel grounds , swimming pool & facilities are luxurious & modern. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family or friends who are looking for an upmarket hotel in Sanur. The only problem we encountered was the restaurant as we booked for NYE & had the most disappointing night but that's a completely different story which will be dealt with on my restaurant review. Overall - beachfront location with gorgeous grounds & facilities. Good restaurants & shops are at your fingertips.
"THE MOST FRIENDLY AND LUXURIOUS HOLIDAY EVER"
My husband and I stayed in Villa 500 at the Fairmont Sanur Beach Resort. We were pampered and spoiled beyond our wildest dreams, from the airport pickup/drop off, to the greeting upon our arrival, to the Villa and its facilities, to the service of our private butler to everyone else there, to teh spa experience, to the food, EVERYTHING!
