Awesome hotel service excellent breakfast was incredible so good and ridiculous amount of choice. North tower room on 16th floor recently renovated in excellent condition with huge comfortable bed. Will stay here if I ever return to Singapore in the near future for sure. Great location near the bay above the MRT (underground can't be heard at all). Raffles original hotel next door if you want to visit for a Singapore sling. Keenly priced and great value for money.Comment of L. Kirk , United Kingdom the 2015-04-11
"Everything you expect from the name. Never fails to deliver"
Moved hotel at the end of a business trip, looking for a place centrally to be based and relaxed that had a great pool. Paid an extra 40 SGD$ on arrival to upgrade to a Marina View room. Best money spent in a long time. Recommend anyone take a room with these sweeping views which cover The Bay over to The Marina Hotel and down into The Financial District.
"Semi luxury at economical price"
We spent 5 nights at Fairmont Feb 2017, booked a club corner room on the 12th floor overlooking the pool with business district to the right. Room was incredibly spacious, bed a little soft but comfortable, 2 balconies although no seating, settee in lounge was quite hard and not practical to relax on, although sufficient for a seat. Bathroom small although practical, however no power points for a hair dryer due to safety, so this was performed in the foyer with the option of the main room. The staff were very friendly and most accommodating. The location was on the fringe of both the financial cbd and shopping areas of orchard st and a short walk from Marina Bay Sands hotel and shopping, with a mall below the premises as well as the cheap well functional public transport system. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend staying here for the price and services provided.
We stayed here for 2 nights during our recent holiday in Singapore. We had a room on the Executive floor (23rd floor) and it was a very nice big corner room with 2 balconies. The room is tastefully furnished. Nice thick rich carpet throughout the floor and beautifully tiled marble bathroom. We had a Kingsize bed that was superbly comfortable and nice comfortable sheets to go with it. Our first morning we decided to use the lobby coffee house (Prego) instead of using the Executive Lounge for breakfast thinking that the selection down there might be better. We had to wait 10 minutes for our table. It was very crowded and most disappointing was the buffet breakfast. Not a huge selection and both of us thought the good was not up to the standard of such a hotel. The 2nd morning of our stay we went to the Executive Lounge instead and it was a very pleasant experience. Great staff and the ambiance of the room was very pleasant and relaxing. Although the selection of food was limited here, the overall impression of the service and the Lounge make up for it. Checking in at the Reception was prompt. The staff here are all very friendly and make you feel like home. One negative aspect( other than the 1st breakfast experience on the lobby floor ) was the drilling and banging going on both days of our stay that started between 10 am till 12 noon. After ringing the operator to enquire about the noise, eventually a Duty Manager rang to apologise for it and even offer a temporary room where we can go to rest if we wish. We declined the offer and chosen instead to go out for a walk. We understand that maintenance works do have to be carried out from time to time. The room was clean promptly every morning and the housekeeping staff even turn down our bed in the evening. A very nice touch. When we checked out, the staff was extremely friendly and asked if we did enjoyed our stay here and presented us with a small box of chocolate. Very impressed with the level of service that was rendered to us. Plus we were given a late check out at 3 pm. The hotel is located next to the Raffles' Mall and it is very convenient to shop or find eating places in as well as outside the mall. A fantastic location for an outstanding hotel. We will return to stay in this property again next time we are in Singapore and highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a 5 stars hotel and service.
We stayed here on the last leg of our honeymoon, and had a wonderful experience! The location is amazing - in the business district, and there's a metro station connected to the hotel. When they heard that we were on our honeymoon, they gave us a complimentary room upgrade. The room was spacious and plush. Service was quick and friendly. Their breakfast buffet is a huge spread, and everything I tried was delicious!
