"Friendly hotel"

we had a very pleasant stay. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. They arranged tickets for us and had excellent restaurant suggestions. The room was quite spacious and clean with good wifi connection.

"Great service & room"

Service was excellent from all front desk personnel throughout both of our stays here. great assistance with information on obtaining polo tickets and chasing up Tango show transport in particular. Did debate whether this is a 4 or 5 rating overall but decided on the higher! Should be aware that HG restaurant has been replaced with a new restaurant - UCO. Food we had here was good (first night opening - service friendly with some teething issues which no doubt will be ironed out) patio area should be finished by now too.. Breakfasts very good. Had a standard room first time which is large with great bathroom & seating area. Terrace suite on second visit was great - love the hot tub on the terrace. Should be noted the terrace suite room is actually smaller than others which would be an issue in bad weather! When sunny it is great. Pool area on 7th floor nice, not enough sun loungers (one..), good supply of towels, honour bar & sauna. Does lose the sun late afternoon - unlike the terrace suite deck.

"Beautiful room"

Upon check-in, we were given room 15, which I would highly recommend as it is at the back of the hotel overlooking the patio and has a huge deck (holds up to 8 people). The room was huge and had a nice sitting area with accompanying bar. Breakfast was a full service affair and was open until 11. We also were given vouchers upon check-in for two free appetizers at the restaurant although we did not have time to use them. I would have given this hotel a '5' rating except for a few issues: 1) as noted by a previous reviewer, they were working on the patio area just under our room so during the day there was a fair amount of banging, 2) dissimilar to every other hotel in which we stayed while in Argentina they did not offer a discount for paying in cash, so the room ended up being considerably more expensive than the others in which we stayed (which were of comparable quality), and 3) the front desk people, while seemingly helpful, seemed a bit stand-offish, although perhaps this was just their way of trying to appear very professional. Further to this latter point, I did ask for restaurant recommendations one evening and indicated that we wanted something simple and that we wanted to eat on the early side. I was told there were only four places to go, and that the earliest that any of them opened was at 8 pm (which was the hotel restaurant and nearby Osaka, a fusion-Peruvian place). They also recommended two steak places, but said they did not open until 8:30 and were both very popular and one was already fully booked for the evening. Basically we were told these were our only options. Well, not knowing the area, I looked on Yelp and found many nearby places with good ratings that could take us earlier than 8 pm and we found a very nice place within a short walk. When I asked the next day why they had not recommended one of these to accommodate our early appetites they said that they only wanted their guests to eat at the best establishments and thought the restaurants nearby would be too simple. Strange given that I had specifically asked for simple. Nonetheless, a nice hotel in a funky part of BA. In terms of neighborhoods in which to stay in BA, I had a hard time determining where we should stay. At the beginning of our trip we stayed in Recoleta, which I actually found a bit more appealing than Palermo. Recoleta is closer to the airports and within walking distance of many sites. While Palermo is more hip, it kind of reminds me of east LA, with lots of graffiti all over the buildings. Fun in terms of restaurants and shops, but not very appealing on the eye. Palermo Hollywood is better for restaurants, but doesn't have that many shops, which can be abundantly found in Palermo Soho. Palermo, however, is also close to a number of sites, including several larges museums and the small but interesting Evita museum.

"Great !! Muy Bueno!!"

We booked this boutique hotel on line based on reviews. It is located in the Palermo section of town, about 30 minutes from the airport ( the airport is outside of BA). The outside of the hotel has Graffiti which looked strange, but don't let that fool you. Inside is very modern. The reception was fantastic, helpful in every way, from arranging a tour, to money exchange down the street, to helping check and confirm future travel plans within the country! The room was very clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable.. No noise at night. There is a restaurant off the lobby which is very good. Our breakfast was not included... But we ate there in the morning. The hotel is within a 20 minute walk to some museums , zoo, beautiful parks ,or they will call a cab. We were within 10 mins drive from the Jorge Newberry airport our interior flight. I would definitely stay here again. Fierro has won top awards from Trip Advisor and they deserve them. Muy Bueno!!

"Loved it"

We loved our time here. Funky place with comfortable beds, nice accommodations, and wonderfully helpful staff. You'll know you have arrived when you see the weird red faces painted on the front of the building. Recommend it!
