"I didn't want to leave this place!"
My experience at Grand Fiesta was truly amazing. Everything was clean and the view was astonishing! The customer service was hands down the best I've ever had. Every employee is very friendly and attentive and will get anything you want. They take the seaweed off the beach so the sand is very white compared to most hotels in Cancun. You have to do the spa when you go, it is a fantastic experience. I thought the rooms would be a little nicer than what the pictures show, but they are very clean! The location is amazing, walking distance from the clubs, restaurants, and shops. I ate at an outside restaurant, and got sick from the food so we ate at the hotel the rest of our stay. The hotel food is amazing, I was obsessed with the brunch buffet!! I plan on going back!
"Spa was amazing but......"
We came there with a group. I read all the reviews so we spent our free day at the spa. It was amazing. Upon check-out we gave our Spa Finder Certs to the Front Desk(not at the spa) and asked if we could pay with these. They weren't sure so they called up to the Spa. This took about 15 minutes. They came back and said no. I explained to them that they accepted them from a few from our group as well as others that have reviewed them online. They wanted to do nothing except say NO. For someone who has been in the industry this was unacceptable.
"The Best Security Staff"
I lost my iphone while at this resort during a busy time in January. There were 900 people from my company here so trying to figure out where I left my phone was extremely difficult. The security staff lead by Ricardo Flores was amazing. Mr. Flores used his personal phone to help my track my iphone. He patiently had his staff walk all over the resort trying to ping my phone IN THE RAIN until it was returned to me. I cant describe how exceptional my experience was! Thank you Mr. Flores!
"Great place to relax"
Nice room and good view. Beautiful beach. Went snorkeling and found lobster right next to the hotel! Plenty of shells. Look for the dark patches in the water, they are grassy reefs when lobster and shells and coral live. Good service. Pool/beach side dining is good, but fish overcooked, no matter how many times ask to undercook it. Good drinks (not watered down like some places). Best breakfast ever!!! Go early, great view, excellent food stations. Try it all, if you didn't gain a pound a day, you were not trying!
"Very Beautiful but Missing Something..."
This is a beautiful resort with great pools and a perfect beach. The rooms are very large and spacious, even the "smallest" room is by far enough room for two (my boyfriend and I). Every room does actually have an ocean view; we ended up switching rooms half way through our stay from the 7th floor to the ground floor. We actually preferred the ground floor because we could just walk out our patio to the pool and beach. We booked it very last minute for a college spring break trip and despite being right downtown in party central, it was quiet at night and relaxing. We really only ever ate the breakfast buffet at the hotel, which even though was absolutely delicious, with food for everyone, was extremely expensive ($50 every morning for two), so as for the rest of the restaurants, I can't comment on quality but they also did seem quite overpriced (we looked at the menu's and decided to go elsewhere) The room was cool every day (which is nice after all the sunshine, ensured a fairly good sleep). It was always pleasantly clean as well. Huge bathroom vanity and big shower. The beds were alright, not the worst sleep, but not the best either. We frequented the beach at night for a walk, and it was always nice to see a security guard keeping watch; safety is definitely a priority here. I think my only gripe about this resort is the lack of amenities, it's got very nice bare bones but small things such as grab n go food that is open 24/7 (if you are awake very early in the morning before an excursion or flight, or hungry in the middle of the night lets say) as room service ends at 11pm, and breakfast doesn't start until around 6 or 7am I believe. There is no entertainment or anything to really DO at this resort except for beach, pool, food, and spa. You can rent kayaks, jet ski's the like from the resort marina, but the waves were pretty choppy the days we were there so we didn't bother. When booking we were given an incentive of a $1000 resort credit, which essentially has some free or discounted food, spa, and drink coupons. So we did visit the spa free of charge for hydrotherapy ritual, it was really lovely but I don't think we would've gone unless it was complimentary, as I believe it starts at $85 a person. I feel like every single thing at this resort costed extra money, even in room coffee, which i've never actually seen before (that's not necessarily that big of an issue, just strange where coffee is usually complimentary most if not all places) Everything you could ever want is within walking distance from the hotel though as for food, entertainment and bars; there is a starbucks and fairly large grocery store across the street which is very handy. This is the place for those who want simplicity and nothing over the top. Great beach, great pool, great location.
