"Excellent service and quality"
We were at the Finest with our two daughters ages 3 and 5. We have a great time, food was very high quality, room was clean and nice. We had a private pool which worked out really well with two young children. The resort felt quiet and not overwelming busy like other resorts. Kids club was nice and pools warm and shallow there. Expensive but worth it and I would highly recommend.
"Great family vacation"
Stayed in January 2017; 7 days. First trip with the whole family: wife and two kids (2 and 4). Excellent stay - don't worry about some the of negative reviews - people will always find something to get hung up on...yes, there are small hick ups here and there (I am not going to drop a star because "omg, they forgot to bring me that 4th chocolate candy I specifically requested for the turn down service" (the usual three candies were not enough), but overall the resort is five star, working hard to ensure everyone stays happy and safe. Pros: * Great resort with fantastic kids club - lots of activities, amenities and safe to drop of your kids for an hour or four! (Even have small kids lounges by the restaurants at the main building to give you 30 mins kids free to finish the meal * Service at the bars and the beach - quick, accurate, friendly. Never waited for a drink - walk up and order (or via waiter at the beach)...only once (at the main bar at the lobby, I was second in line to get a drink) * Liquor & drink selection - very good even for a five star resort * Great food at the buffet & Lizo (Mexican restaurant) * Rooms & room service - very practical, spacious, they provide cribs (on a smaller side). Don't worry about the musty smell some complained - yes, the bathroom is somewhat open to the main area - ensure to have the balcony door open for ~10 mins during the day and you will be fine * Entertainment - always something to do for the adults and kids, especially in the afternoon / evening * Overall location, set-up and design - things are spread out to ensure somewhat equal crowd spread across the bars, restaurants, beach and the pools. Grounds are well kept, clean and well designed. * Beach - wide, fine sand, well maintained..MORE THAN ENOUGH chairs / sunbeds (including in the shade) for everyone...yes, there is some seaweed, but only on windy / stormy days and staff tried hard to clean it up * Sweet corner - great coffee selections, fresh pastries, warm milk (for the kids) and late night ice-cream! CONS: * Only one really - inconsistency in food - in some areas in exceeds my expectations (Mexican restaurant, buffet overall, pockets of ceviches / fish dishes in beach / pool restaurants), however Asian restaurant is sub-par (what is perplexing is that the sushi and especially tuna sashimi / lightly grilled tuna at the buffet downstairs is a world apart from the grilled tuna (from previously frozen fish) they serve at the restaurant). But, again - lots of choices & options - so, if you didn't like 1-2 restaurants, there are 5-7 others to try.
"Great resort and wonderful vacation!"
We spent a really nice week at the Finest with our two kids (7 and 5) in early December 2016. Service throughout the resort was consistently great (And even better if you tip staff). The kids club staff were so kind and welcoming. My 5 year old didn't want to leave! Activity schedule was ok - they do a new activity each hour, which is about the usual for most resorts that we have visited. Rooms were modern, spacious and comfortable. My kids loved the massive bathtub that looked out onto the balcony. Food and restaurant selection was great. We enjoyed all the a la carte restaurants equally. The lobster at Duke's was great (but wear mosquito repellant!), and the teppanyaki and steakhouse were probably highlights as well. We don't usually like buffets so much but we found the buffet at the Finest was probably the best of what we have visited. Huge selection of superior choices (seafood, burgers made from actual ground beef/chicken, etc) and great presentation. Beach was nice - gradual entry and clean. Some seaweed but not nearly as much as some other parts of the Mayan, and it's quickly cleaned up. We had a great trip!
We loved this resort. Ask for Diego and Ajelandro. We wish they were our friends in real life!!! This resort is huge! If you're looking into night life, this isn't the resort but they still have good shows!! We are a young couple 24/27 and we loved it. The food is amazing. The "night life" ends at 1am but who cares when you have a pool upstairs in your room. Book this resort now you won't regret it. #Cancun #AskForDiegoAndAjelandro
We just got back from 4 nights in the "Excellence Club" portion of Finest Playa Mujeres. We had a swim out room facing the bar area. Unfortunately, we were not able to use it much due to the cooler temps and wind, but we sat outside quite a bit. From the time we arrived, we were treated like royals. Everyone greeted us with a smile and did whatever they could to make our vacation more enjoyable. Since we were celebrating my birthday, we were treated to balloons, cake and a special breakfast in bed. The drinks at the resort were phenomenal. A shout out to Guadalupe who served us at the beach and by our private pool area. Towards the end, she would even bring me drinks without my even asking. We spent our time at the Excellence portion of the beach and by our private swim out. We spent no time at the main pool, and since we were traveling without our kids, didn't really see much of the kids area. Food overall was pretty good. Was it the best I ever had' No....but it was decent. We ate at Surf and Turf, Brass, Hibachi at Shoji and Duke's Lobster House. The wait staff was friendly and accommodated all of our needs. We saw a couple of shows. They were entertaining...We saw the Madonna show and a magician. We did use the spa. We had a free Hydrotherapy treatment (be warned, they alternate using cold and hot water). Having a bowl of ice dumped on you in a steam room can be pretty jarring. We also had a couples massage that was very nice. Overall, I highly recommend this resort. Great service, clean as can be, large rooms, and amazing drinks! Cons: the hallways were a little loud at night, and on our final night, we had no turn down service. Both of those things are very minor and didn't effect our trip at all.
