"Awesome, awesome, awesome!"
Great service, great staff, great food, great service, beautiful rooms and beautiful location! Love the fact that room was always fully stocked and clean and not reservations were needed at any of the a-la-carte restaurants (except Japanese) and you could go back more than once. Food, snacks and drinks available in abundance. Not one thing that I would change!
"Finest ia the Fineat All Inclusive place, period."
Dont look anywhere else, stop the search and just go to this gem in Cancun. Ive been to several AI locations before, none give you the attention, cleanliness, and service as this one. They keep impressing you day after day with their attentiok to detail and their pursuit of excellence in serving you. Special thanks to Ingrid in charge of the hydrotherapy, which was great. I recommend you get an ocean front suite on the 4th or 5th floor, normally it would be a Junior Suite, which is what I stayed in and its great. The shows arent that amazing, but then again the effort is there, and they keep changing it everynow and then. The worst part of our trip was using Super Shuttle, and the Finest even helped us sort the problems as the taxi service is very unorganized, late, and unprofessional. Go and have fun, you'll love the views and the beach front.
"Stop reading reviews and just book this hotel"
My husband, five year old daughter, and I just returned from a week-long vacation at Finest. It met or exceeded every single one of our expectations - I can't think of any reason not to go stay here. We've stayed at a lot of all-inclusives and we'd definitely go back to this one. We travel a lot (used to travel globally for work and travel often with our daughter). This hotel is amazing. The pools are wonderful, the main one is even heated, which is wonderful for kids. We couldn't pull our daughter away from the kids club, and they even take them for dinner. It got to the point where we were begging her to join us to eat as a family. The rooms were wonderful. Full-sized shampoo and conditioner bottles, toothpaste, snacks, and drinks were stocked daily, which was lovely. The rooms were tastefully decorated and quite soundproof as well. We had a swim up suite that we absolutely loved. It had a wonderful deck with lots of space for relaxing and privacy. The food was good, what we would expect at an all-inclusive. Plenty of options to please anyone. They paid attention to dietary restrictions and were willing to accommodate. Sure, it's not Michelin-quality, but if you want authentic sushi, go to Japan. We love food, and found plenty to enjoy at the resort. The service was great too. We loved that the restaurants didn't take reservations - it meant we didn't have to plan in advance. The gym was great and we used it daily. It was really spacious and seemed to offer some good classes. We didn't try any, though. The beach was lovely, great sand and plenty of lounge chairs. Lots of towels were available at the pool and beach as well. Yes, there is seaweed. It's the ocean, if there wasn't seaweed, I'd be worried. They do a good job of keeping the beach clean, though. I could go on and on. And I'm one of those people who read all the reviews and fret over whether we have chosen the right place for our vacation. This is the right place, so stop reading and just book a trip there.
"Best all-inclusive ever - Finest is the right word"
While it was expensive, we booked a 2-story rooftop plunge pool suite (6468) in the Excellence Club Adults-only section of the resort. Our suite was at the end of the row, so we had views from both ocean front and side. It was spectacularly comfortable and luxurious. In addition to the usual mini-bar water, juice, pop and beer, we had a full bar with premium tequila, rum, gin, vodka and red and white wines (not mini-bottles but full bottles). The service throughout the resort from check-in (welcomed with bubbly and cold towels) to check-out (permitted to stay in our room until 2.00 p.m.) was attentive, friendly and thoughtful. All of the restaurants were tastefully furnished with excellent food and wine. We particularly enjoyed the attentions of Erik and Baltazar at Brass. Although the food here was our second favourite (sorry Erik!), the food at the adults only Le Petit Plaisir was extraordinary. The foie gras appetizer was world-class. The environment at the resort was gorgeous, well-kept and beautifully maintained. If this seems like too many superlatives, please bear in mind that we have been to at least six all-inclusive resorts throughout Mexico, so we know whereof we speak. Everyone we spoke to among the guests, including those with children in the other section of the resort had the same perspective. My only criticism is that while the toilet section of the bathroom had a private door, the rest of the bathroom had no door at all. This wasn't a terrible hardship, but it felt a bit weird, even though we have been married for 46 years! Well done Excellence at Playa Mujeres, in particular among the general staff, Jorge (at check-in), Christian in the Bistro, Fernando in the Italian, Vanessa at the Gold Bar and all off the bar-tenders throughout the resort.
"Best vacation ever"
It was the most relaxing vacation. Everywhere you went there was soft music playing. The beach was beautiful and the water was calm. Our room was gorgeous . We has Oceanview Jr suite. Our balcony was huge and had a bed to lay on it you chose to. It had a jacuzzi that you could fill and get in. We never did but it looked tempting. On our arrival we got hot tiles and champagne. Our room was ready so we went directly there. There was a rose and champagne waiting for us. The mini bar was stocked full of water, soda and beer. If you are a liquor drinker they had full top of line bottles waiting The food was excellent. We ate at the surf and turf that overlooked the ocean. The French restaurant was fabulous. The tapas was my least favorite but my husband loved it. You can eat lunch right on the beach. Mexican and American items. We loved at night this open air bar. It was romantic and you could see the full moon. I would highly recommend for couples and families. We will stay next door at excellence club as its adults only. If was full but the children were well behaved and never caused us a problem.
