"Great hotel in a great location"
I was here in January for business reasons, anyway I really enjoyed the city center thanks to the great location. Hotel decorations are historical and in contrast with new modern designs, sometimes is nice to see old furniture not only pale whites everywhere. Breakfast was awesome and room commodities were perfect. If I have to say something that could had been better it would be the water pressure of the shower. Our business allows to choose from several hotels, but I'm pretty sure that I will choose the same next time.
This hotel is in a good location and it's main pro is that it's convenient. Unfortunately our room was quite tiny and dirty. My boyfriend being 6ft4 couldn't fit in the bathroom and in all the hotels I've ever stayed in I've never been so disappointed that I had to go request another room. I booked well in advance and was paying a lot of money so regardless of anything I wanted the stay to be comfortable. They changed us to a different room but said they couldn't guarantee it would be much bigger. This didn't instill much confidence but thankfully the room was bigger and in fact cleaner. It was a comfortable sleep and the noise from the street didn't bother us much but I feel if you're a light sleeper this would prove difficult. The shower pressure was terrible and the lack of a proper hair dryer was disappointing, which for anybody with long hair is necessary. The only reason why this hotel is getting 3 stars is because of location and depending on the room it can be quite comfortable if you don't mind sleeping under a single quilt even though you're in a double bed. Not ideal for the January weather. Thank you to the staff for being very friendly and for doing their best to make our stay more comfortable but the hotel itself just wasn't up to scratch for the price you're paying. We had a far more luxurious hotel with better facilities for half the price in a different city the nights prior to our stay in Copenhagen.
"Excellent New Years Break"
We arrived at this hotel around 10am and were planning to drop our luggage as check in wasn't until later on in the afternoon. However, the staff rearranged our room as they had some clean rooms available so we were able to get straight in. The room itself was exceptionally comfortable and clean. We had a safe, a mini fridge (which included free water and flavoured soft drinks) and an iron/ironing board. The hotel is in a great position to wander into town or up to the market or down to the water. We didn't have breakfast here as we felt it was expensive and there are plenty of little bakeries to get something a little more 'Danish'. The staff were more than helpful. One thing to note, however, if you are wanting to pay by cash (as we did) you still need a card to put on the room incase of extra charges etc.
Great place to stay in. The name of the hotel says all about the furniture and the interior. Great spacious bed. The hotel has great facilities and located next to the famous shopping street, Strøget, with most known shops both designer and regular ones. The food from the hotel restaurant offers tasty Italian food.
"good stay in centre of Copenhagen"
Clean hotel with good rooms and marvelous breakfast. We could eat 'till 10.30 so we didn't need to rush if we felt like staying in bed. Personel was really friendly. The room was clean and the bed was really good. We loved the matress and sheets!
