"Faulty Towers, wishing to meet Basil and Sibyl "
Fantastic location, Fantastic building, Fantastic staff, Fantastic food in the restaurants, Fantastic breakfast, Fantastic pool, Fantastic jacuzzi, Just would not change a thing, welcome to Dublin with a smile with creaking floor boards and everything you will love telling your nearest and dearest as to the smile you have on your face, will never stay anywhere else while visiting home and family in my area. 5 ***** As ever Class castle, class experience, home from home. p.s. My wife hates staying here with me😜, but the best pint of Guinness in Co. Dublin can be had in the Druids Chair only 100 paces from the front door, ask for Kerrin! I've only a few grey hairs on my head !!
Love this hotel, if you like freedom and space this is the place . We have loads of family over here so they are able come up and visit us. Drink at the bar, eat in the restaurant or coffee in the lounge, just brilliant. Facilities are excellent and service is exceptional. Would recommend to all 5 stars from us.
We loved the location of the hotel and the town was beautiful. Unfortunately, when we arrived Jordan at the front desk would not help us with our bags, we also asked for a bigger room but the beds were sunken in the middle. Some of the staff were not helpful but some were. The hotel is very nice, but the staff need to be retrained in customer service.
"Nice place with old world grandeur!"
Nice old building with plenty of charm. The room I had was huge - two large double beds and still enough space to swing a cat (why do people only ever mention when there is not enough space for that'). Shower was excellent too - I travel for work and need a good shower at the end of the day! Food in the basement bar was very good - the service was a bit too "formal" for my taste, but it was good and better fault than erring in the other direction. Hotel was a little further out of my way than I first intended, but it was worth the drive. Would I stay there again' Absolutely!
"Great place minus the service."
Great hotel outside of Dublin. Awesome rooms and grounds next to a park. Short walk to the DART station. Only downside is the service is not to be expected. Rude bartender in the Library lounge and breakfast need some quality improvement. Do not plan this place if you want quality service. Other than that its a great place to stay.
