"5-star' Absolutely, not in standard..."
Being an international brand hotel, the room size is fine but lighting in-room is so dark; the night light is out of order; the WIFI is not stable or extremely slow in-room or in public area. Had breakfast at The Eatery every morning, after hostress ticked our room no. on their list, no one escort you to the table, seems like any fast food restaurant, we had to find a vacant table by ourselves. Though enough food varieties, most of hot dishes were actually...cold, not even warm also slow refill. Green tea is very popular in most of the international brand hotels, however, the waiter told us that they only serve black tea, whilst no one serve you at all. One of the captain or mamager (uniform in black) was extremely impolite, we even saw him scolded at the patrons during my 4-day stay at least twice. Definitely he should not do so, no matter FIT or group travellers.
"Good stay at the Four Points by Sheraton"
I stayed at this property for 3 nights last week. It is a very nice, clean hotel. We had some minor issues with our bathroom but the staff were able to help us fix them. The rooms have a seen through wall in the bathroom, be aware of this when you book it. Most of the bathrooms have a button you can press and a curtain will come down to give you some privacy but for some reason ours didn't. The breakfast buffet was included in our stay and it was quite good. There was lots of variety, both Chinese food and Western food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, their English is limited so learning some Mandarin would be a good idea. It's not quite in the city, it's about 30 mins away from the heart of Beijing, but there is a big shopping mall just down the street. The rooms tend to over heated but if you ask at the front desk they should be able to turn it down for you. Overall a very good hotel.
"Great quality hotel"
This was a great hotel with style and ambience. The shop in the hotel selling Jade highlighted some spectacular carvings. Very good breakfast with comfortable rooms. The location offered some shopping within close vicinity to the Hotel.
"Very nice hotel, but far from city center."
This hotel is very nice. Rooms were very nice and the breakfast buffet was great. Only thing is that it's VERY far from the city (45+ mins in Beijing traffic). There are some great restaurants around and a big shopping mall. The hot pot across the street was really good! So, if you are planning to do lots of stuff in downtown Beijing (Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, etc), this hotel is probably a poor choice. Other than that, its very nice.
"The hotel is good"
I stayed in the hotel in mid Nov 2016 for 3 days. The hotel is good and is on the main road with spacious and well furnished rooms. The complementary breakfast is also good. The staff members are courteous. However you should be aware that the hotel management will set the room temperature at 25 degrees which i was told is considered as cold. But if you feel it to be hot and uncomfortable they will not change the temperature but instead ask you to keep the window open and you will continue to feel the heat more.I think the management should change this attitude to suit the comfort of guests.
