"Poor customer service, rude management"
I checked into this hotel while it was still SPG's Four Points Hotel. When I left, it was the Hyatt Regency- and it sure was a big difference in terms of customer service. I found the staff to be generally friendly and helpful- the bar in the lobby was nice. The rooms were nothing special, and they had an annoying policy of not allowing delivery people upstairs and had me running down to the lobby at 2 am to get my food. Aside from that, I would not recommend staying at this hotel- mainly because the management will not be inconvenienced to help their guests. After paying the outrageous laundry surcharges for Sunday ($20 a shirt + 50%), I asked to speak to a manager about the situation. I was told they would get in touch with me. A day passed. I called yet again to the front desk to be given the same answer, and to expect my call in the morning. I found myself checking out, no manager in sight, until I asked for the manager on duty. Malcom Zancanaro was kind enough to let me know that it was my problem. At the very least I expected a sincere apology for the hotel not even bothering to follow up with its guest. It is already bad that the Hyatt takes advantage of its business travelers who have no other options for laundry, but management not caring enough to follow up with me is unacceptable. Usually, when I stay at the Sheraton or other SPG hotels, I can expect at least a simple courtesy call when I have an issue. If you stay at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney, keep your expectations low.
"Great hotel in Darling harbour...."
Everything about the Sheraton four points hotel in Darling harbour, was fantastic from front of house,to the view from our room on the ninth floor.Without doubt we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again whilst visiting Sydney.Chris & Tony Alexander.
"Best location "
We had a early flight and hence required a early check in.They gave us a one hour wait time at the reception, but checked us inn in 20 mins. The rooms are very neat, the view facing the darling harbor was a killer. You can walk to the darling harbor, location is the best. We loved the stay at four points.
"Really nice hotel, great location"
A modern, beautifully kept property, with just a short walk across the street to get to Darling Harbour where there are many restaurants and attractions. The room was large and comfortable with all the amenities expected from a good hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent, and the staff very friendly. The concierge was particularly helpful in suggesting some places to see along the harbor. We stayed here as part of a Globus group, so I am not sure of the price of the rooms. Probably on the expensive side.
"Great meal and great service"
The Four Points team have done an outstanding job with their new restaurant offering. The Coffin Bay Oysters were second to none, the smoked lamb rack and the signature dessert "Dragons Breath" would give the top Sydney Restaurants a run for their money. Carl Contractor and Executive Chef Robert Sauer and his team have really turned up the heat on the local competition. Whilst the sign on the roof changed overnight, the team at the Four Points were created through Starwoods core Values and tireless focus on providing an Honest, Uncomplicated and comfortable experiences for every guest. TICK all three boxes we were impressed!
