A perfect option if you want to be closer to the Pyramids but still "in town". Make sure to ask for Nile facing room, worth it! We loved the Lebanese restaurant with wood fired oven - delicious food. Pool area was very nice, a great place to relax after day of touring.
We stayed for two nights as part of a travel tour package near the end of our Egypt adventure. What a nice, refreshing stay, super service and first class accommodations. Definitely an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Cairo We where on a renovated floor with spacious rooms that were well appointed, large comfortable beds and bath with all the amenities. The Lebanese restaurant at the pool was delicious. We enjoyed dinner poolside one evening sharing the mixed grill entrees and other appetizers - more than enough food. At check out, we left our luggage to have a final tour day in Cairo - everything was stored up in a very secure room. The hotel is in a historically charming building across from the Giza zoo. The only challenge is that lobby is quite small and can get busy with people. Plus smoking is everywhere!
We had a meal in the fish restaurant. It is an open buffet for starter and dessert and the main course you order from the chefs and they will cook the fish to,your liking. The fish soup was stale and had no taste however there was a good selection of started and desserts. My only concern it that the quality of fish has dropped since the last time I went. Also the restaurant lacks the ambience and the quality of service that should match the reputation of the hotel.
"I can't say enough about my stay here ❤ it!!"
I could go on and on about how beautiful this hotel is but I didn't expect anything less from Four Seasons. The rooms were well appointed, very clean and vey spacious but what sets them apart from others was the service. The gentleman working in the Tea Lounge, in particular went above and beyond no matter what time of day we stopped down. The breakfast was delicious and lots to choose from. The afternoon tea service is what I miss MOST!!! The staff throughout the hotel were very nice and accommodating. I will definitely stay here on my return.
"Oasis in Busy Cairo"
The T Family recently stayed at the Four Seasons at the First Residence in Cairo, located on the west bank of the Nile River. Stayed there 2 nights in 2 rooms. This hotel property is regarded as the best in town and I think it lived up the the hype. After long days visiting temples, pyramids, and museums, it was great to spend our nights at the Four Seasons. Rooms - Guest rooms were very spacious and luxurious, and well appointed with art, estate style furnishings, and very functional storage space. Beds were just firm enough and were covered with high thread count sheets and covers. Two of us stayed in standard room with king bed and roll-away. Three of us stayed in bigger room with twins and roll-away. Bathrooms were very luxurious and spacious, but lacked nicer ambient lighting and rain-style shower head. Restaurants - This Four Seasons has several restaurant and lounge options, including Lebanese restaurant Aura, Italian restaurant Xxxx, famous Tea Room for breakfast buffets and English Tea, the Library for cocktails, and the adjacent mall for restaurant tied to hotel. Around the property are several other dining options but we did not go that route. Biggest plus of our stay here was two meals at Aura restaurant. Amazing! Service - The service at this Four Seasons lived up to our rather high expectations, given 5-star status and price. Front desk staff were responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. English language was a challenge for a few of the staff there. We ordered in to the room several times and the wait time and quality of drinks and food was very good. We loved that there was a security presence in and around the hotel. Entertainment - Hotel includes a pool, lounge area, casino, and is adjacent to a nice shopping mall. There are areas to walk around without going outside. Around the hotel are clubs, several restaurants, and the Cairo Zoo. To summarize, our family loved this Four Seasons and would book there again without any hesitation. We had one room facing the West which had a great view of the 3 pyramids and Cairo Zoo. Our other room faced the East and overlooked the luxurious pool and the Nile River. Service and food here was top-notch and made for a perfect oasis in the middle of a very busy Cairo.
