"Stylish luxury with a wonderful garden"
Sometimes people have the wrong preconceptions about the Four Seasons group - that the hotels might be in some way bland or too corporate - and to emphasise how wrong this is you should visit this wonderful hotel! It has kept all the character of a grand Florentine palace but added on supreme comfort and the usual Four Seasons impeccable service. The enormous and beautifully maintained gardens just add to the feel of relaxing luxury. Our large bedroom overlooked the gardens and made it all the more refreshing after intense cultural visits in the City. Do not overlook the restaurant - we enjoyed our 2 dinners there even more than the dinner at a nearby 3 Michelin starred place and the food was locally inspired and served with personality. It really is worth the expense to stay in such sybaritic surroundings and the bar and tea spaces are all great meeting places too.
"Ultimate luxury in heart of Florence"
We were seeking King Sized accommodations for our trip to Tuscany. Four Seasons Firenze did. It disappoint. This hotel is SPECTACULAR! With the largest private garden in Florence, there is abundant space to relax and repose in the heart of Florence. The lobby is stunning. From its formal decor, soaring ceilings, and cozy spaces to sit for tea or an afternoon cocktail. We enjoyed daily breakfast on the patio, and spent a late afternoon poolside after a morning of shopping. This hotel is pricy! ($1,500USD/night while we were there high season), but a welcome gift of cheese & chocolate, bottle of wine, and ultra attentive staff made us feel right at home. This location, the wonderful gardens, generously sized rooms & expert service is what you'd expect from a Four Seasons property.
"Great Four Seasons hotel in Florence"
This hotel has been on our list for some time but this year we made it and had a wonderful time. The hotel website totally undersells the gardens of the hotel which in fact are the 2nd largest in Florence. Our main concern was driving to the hotel and managing to find it in central Florence but we needn't have worried as the directions given to us were spot on and the staff at the hotel met us and took the car to a parking lot. The attention to detail at the hotel is amazing and the only thing we could find to fault the service was the delivery of the wrong type of tea - this was quickly rectified with many apologies. The hotel has 2 main accommodation buildings - the main palace which has stunning reception areas and La Villa which is reached through the gardens - both have reception areas and bars. We chose to eat in both restaurants during the stay and both were equally great with lots of choice - 1 is more formal and the other more casual but this didn't affect the quality of the food or the service. The staff were all very friendly but professional as you'd expect from a Four Seasons. Also the hotel is very close to the centre of the city so walking there takes less than 10 minutes so it's a great location. We were so impressed that we're now seriously considering going back next year for our wedding anniversary.
"Like living a dream"
Stunning historical building, furnished with amazing taste in a classic fashion. Everything is spotless. The garden is pristine, with golfcourt-like grass and centennial trees. Amazing view of the duomo dome from our windows. Food is just amazing at the Palagio restaurant. Just a minor issue with the espresso served at the bar... 7€ for a barely drinkable espresso. Luxurious without being too posh. Classy classic hotel. Will be back!
This is a great hotel. Service is impeccable, rooms are very spacious, and the communal areas are beautiful. The whole building oozes beauty and history. The park is unbelievable. Full marks. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel if you want to experience Florence at its best.
