"One of the best hotel experience I have ever had. Will definitely recommend this hotel!"
First rated facility, can't complain on anything from arriving, room facility, cleanliness, in-room dining, breakfast, etc. It is also located right in the center of Pudong business district, a walking distant to subway.
"Overwhelming and outstanding in every respect"
Celebrating our 20 years friendship, my very good friend and myself was on a three nights overseas trip to Shanghai. We had booked the Pearl suite, which looked really nice, but upon arrival we were upgraded to the Presidential suite - which is so absurd that I have been in doubt I'll tell anyone about it. The service level can hardly be described, and by attempting some may think I have ended up in delirium with hallucinations. It all started at the airport with pickup by the hotel car Audi A8. Upon arriving at Four Seasons the hotel manager Joyce and guest manager Corina was waiting for us outside, and greeted us warmly welcome. The same happened in the lobby, all the staff greeted us, before we without further frills or any intrusive check-in was escorted up to the Presidential suite. We were shown around, which took quite a long time since the area totaled about 430 square meters. We were guided through a huge bathroom, a separate dressing room, a large bedroom, separate office with scanner, printer and copier, giant living room with two sofas and two armchair groups, and private meeting rooms for ten people. And since the Presidents suite has only one bedroom, my friend got a separate suite for his bedroom. Everywhere in the Presidents suite the staff had decorated with balloons and congratulations with our 20 year friendship celebration. And at the table in the living room we found a large card with personal greetings and a colored drawing of "friendship forever" from the staff. A really nice, personal and cute touch. In addition, we were provided a fantastic chocolate cake with a personal greeting written in the chocolate: Mr. King and Mr. Kong. A fruit bowl and a plate of small confectionery pieces and some cookies were also put forward. An interesting detail was that there were no garbage cans anywhere, except at the bathroom. A possible explanation may be that The president shall not spend his time cleaning, or bother with the garbage disposal. Feels quite ok, actually. Pressing of all clothing was free, polished shoes were returned with wooden-blocks in each shoe, and packed into separate clothing bags and placed in an elaborate box of high quality ... and so I could continue. It was also very nice to be recognized everywhere by the staff, and addressed by name and title. And if they had not met us before, and we introduced ourselves, the faces cracked up with warm smiles and visible real joy: "Ah - Mr. King and Mr. Kong! Very pleased to meet you." It was clear that we had been the theme of the briefing by the staff before arrival. Not a bad word about rock star treatment, but President treatment still belongs to an entirely different division (besides I have a terrible singing voice). In the evening we enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres in the club lounge. Several types of white wine, red wine and sparkling wine of high quality was also provided. The staff at the lounge was very friendly and attentive, and was at all times at our table with more wine before our glasses got empty. One night I missed the good blue cheese part of the cheese selection, but having mentioned it to the staff, a huge plate of it immediately was brought to our table. The complimentary serving of food and wine is limited to two hours every evening between 17.30 and 19:30. However, at one of the nights, one hour after the time for free bar, we were still in the lounge having a very good time, and decided to suggest for the staff we could happily use a little replenishment of the sparkling wine. We simply preferred to stay in the lounge instead of moving to the lobby bar, and we were of course prepared to pay for the extra glass of wine. Quickly afterwards the cheerful lounge staff came back with a whole bottle of sparkling wine, and paid excuses it was not cooled. And, maybe needless to say, with the consistent out-of-this-world-service from the staff, we were never presented any bill. Just all smiles and friendliness everywhere. Finally we wish to thank Joyce Zhao and the rest of her wonderful team, for a great experience. We've stayed at numerous five star properties around the world, but this was a level above anything we have previously experienced. The only problem is – hereafter – where to stay' But troubling with that question is the price one have to pay having experienced the truly most magic and friendly service imaginable.
My room was on the 30th floor. Great view of city streets and buildings from my window. Bath tub and amenities were just right. The shower room allow for both sitting and standing choice. wonderful bath liquids added each day - bath gel, shampoo and body lotion. The breakfast is the best I have seen. Variety (breads/proteins/side dishes / were great . Staff (including housekeeping) is very accommodating. I have had no regrets. A shuttle was provided for my conference attendance and easy taxi when I needed one.
We had a fantastic suite, with the most amazing view possible. Got upgraded, thank you very much! The Club is very nice with good afternoon tea and evening dim sum. Everything is very close to the hotel. Only thing is, better call a taxi in advance, as there are no taxis driving by, we had to wait 15 minutes and missed our flight (o.k. a little bit our mistake, too).
