I stayed at junior suite. No club reception. No private check-in. No shuttle service. No concierge. No explanation for room facility, exit-route, and complimentary services. I brought my buggages by myself! In the fantastic pool, there're white scums floating. No clear water. And untidy. "Good" was Club lounge food, especially Mango tart. At first, my credit-card (Diners) wasn't accepted, although reserved the room w/ it, and no issue at Peninshula. Actually, I was told to draw the cash at ATM with it! No hospitality, but a little hostile. I think that my low rating for this hotel is quite fair.
"Exceptional hotel - incredible views and iconic, world-class pool and spa"
Everything about this hotel was exceptional. The check-in was quick and friendly. Our room had an iconic view of Pearl Tower and the Shanghai city skyline; it was truly one of the most memorable and incredible views we have ever experienced from a hotel room. The room itself was beautiful; floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the view, luxury king bed with superb bedding and a beautiful marble bathroom with double sinks and separate bath/shower facilities. Absolutely stunning. We stayed on the Club Level and highly recommend it - the breakfast offerings were not good (we recommend taking breakfast in the main hotel restaurant) but the evening offerings were exceptional; lots of hot food items such as dim sum and excellent service from the club staff. The lounge itself has stunning views over the Shanghai skyline and is the perfect place to watch the light shows. The best aspect of this hotel was the absolutely incredible swimming pool. The pool has truly breathtaking views over Shanghai - you literally feel as though you are "swimming in the sky". The decor of the pool area is ultra luxurious and it is spotlessly clean everywhere. Unlike many hotel pools, the pool was heated to a perfect warm temperature. There is a huge jacuzzi with massage jets and there are luxury changing rooms with sauna and steam facilities. The spa itself was excellent; we enjoyed two wonderful massages. Around the pool are luxurious and very comfortable loungers; the service from the pool-boys was excellent, they continually bring delicious warm teas, water and snacks. It makes for a perfect way to unwind and spend a few hours after a busy day exploring the city. We also really appreciated the fact that the pool was open so late; taking a late night dip at 22:00 was so relaxing and the view of the city lights was just outstanding. We loved the location of the hotel; it is about a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest MTR and about 10 minutes from the excellent IFC mall. We actually preferred having our base over on Pudong than on the other side of the Bund. You can walk from the hotel down to the Bund in about 20 minutes; it is a pleasant walk on the "high-walks" of Pudong - very safe and the views are just incredible. This is a top-class Four Seasons property; no criticisms whatsoever.
"Best hotel in Shanghai!"
Modern hotel situated in a great location Pudong district. Large and cozy rooms. Excellent service. We spent unforgettable days here. Spa - a must! Many thanks to the whole staff of the hotel! Especially I want to mention the wonderful concierges!
four seasons never let you down. i stayed in the other one but this time tried the pudong four seasons. very spacious place with nice decoration. great view from your room which you can enjoy the spectacular city view and shanghai skylines. the breakfast is awesome and the gym is the best I've had in all 5 stars hotels. i will definately come back again for stay.
Super Service in the restaurants, the staff goes beyond the call of duty to ensure comfort of the guests. Can't thank the staff enough for spending so much time in suggesting the places to go and how to reach there. Thank you very much !!
