4 service star with 5-star pricing. Food is good but wish i bit more choices. Location is very good as it is central to many things to visit and do. Our room was quite big. we will stay again but price is a bit high...
We loved this hotel...incredibly comfortable beds, great bathroom/shower, perfect location by Tokyo station, very attentive staff. Breakfasts were not included and expensive but in a nice setting. Would stay here if in Tokyo again.
"An Exceptional Four Seasons Experience"
We traveled to Tokyo from Kyoto via the Nozomi Shinkansen. We were greeted at the Tokyo Station train platform by two professionals from the Four Seasons Tokyo. I really wish I remembered their names because they both were tremendous helping us with our five heavy suitcases all the way back to the hotel. Check-in was fast, and the staff who greeted us upon arrival were so kind and welcoming. We were escorted to our Premiere room, which was quite spacious. I really liked the clean, minimalistic decor of the rooms, which reminded me of the Toronto FS property. The bed, which I believe was one of the newer Simmons beds offered at some of the FS properties, was comfortable, and my back was happy every morning. Being in the middle of the winter, the room was quite dry, but the humidifier provided some relief. We had booked the room many months prior to our stay in January. One of the biggest attractions Tokyo had to offer was the world class cuisine. We were well aware that competition for seatings was fierce and that reservations most often will only given to individual who spoke Japanese. Akhil and his colleagues (Miki, Xing, and Misato) with concierge were absolutely amazing from the get go. We were lucky enough to be secured a seating for lunch at Jiro's restaurant in Ginza, as well as other top choices of ours. That experience alone made the trip to Tokyo worthwhile! We only ate breakfast and mid afternoon snacks at the on-site restaurant, Motif. I loved both the breakfast buffet and Japanese style breakfast (make sure you have a big appetite). I'm a huge fan of fresh juice and Motif's juices were amazing. Service, again, was top notch, and the gentleman who took care of us at the restaurant, Ricky, was a really great personable guy. The Four Seasons Tokyo is quite different than the majority of their other properties. With 56 rooms or so, I believe it's the smallest hotel in their network, which gave it a "boutique" hotel type of feel. The lobby is small with minimal seating areas. Thus, if you're the type who loves to lounge around in the lobby, this may not be the ideal hotel for you. The service and overall experience, however, was the best I've experienced at a Four Seasons property. Kishi-sama does an exceptional job taking care and managing the property. Thank you, Kishi and the rest of the Four Seasons staff, for making our first trip to Tokyo a memorable one. We are already planning our next visit!
"Amazing Customer Service and Dog-Friendly"
Last May 2016 while travelling from California to Japan in order for my dog to have open heart surgery, I was fortunate enough to be a guest of the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was desperate for last minute accommodations that would accept me and my dog, and make our stay in Japan a positive one. Although the Four Seasons wasn't in our budget, our stay was worth every single penny. Everyone from the front door to the registration desk, concierge, and the restaurant, were absolutely amazing. I know having a dog in the hotel was definitely a new thing for a lot of the staff and not commonly accepted among the establishments around Tokyo city, but the staff treated us with the up-most respect. I was constantly pleasantly surprised with the amazing treatment we both received. Being in woman in Japan alone, not knowing the language and having a sick dog in tow was incredibly hard, but the experience of staying at your hotel made it bearable. I am forever grateful.
