"Excellent place, staff and location"
Due to change of plans we urgently needed a hotel which happened to be simultaneously with Seafair, most hotels we fully booked. However, we managed to get a room at the 4Season and due to the full house they offered us a suite at an attractive price. We ended up in some 120m2 room with great views from bed & bath room over the water in front of the hotel. A very nice room indeed. From the entrance (and arrival) to the lobby, restaurant, pool to reception the staff was outstanding. I have written several reviews on the trip we did this summer to Canada and USA and it has become clear to me that the staff of the Four Season group does get a different training. Its one of a different level to all other hotels we stay in in these 2 countries. I think its fair to say that they stand at lonely at the top if it comes to service and personal attention. Well done management! And one can safely chose them to feel confident they pick the right hotel group which again attracts certain travellers. We samples the restaurant both for BF and Dinner and it was simply good. Nothing to add. Also we spend some time at the pool, nicely located between the building overlooking the water. Try to get the seats at the front for great views. And again staff was all over the place to make sure you were happy, felt happy or make you happy! Eye to detail, thats what makes them stand out.
"Second stay in this hotel. The level of service is always excellent. Upgrade to a view of Elliot Bay, it's a must."
I recommend upgrading to a room with a view of Elliot Bay. The rooms are large and spacious with a commanding view of Puget Sound. You can watch the boats and Ferry's come in and leave. You are just a couple blocks from Pike's Place Market as well.
This is a very nice property overlooking the Puget Sound one block from Pike Place market. The lobby with fireplaces and different seating arrangements is very welcoming. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable.
"Nice City Hotel, Good Location"
My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Four Seasons Seattle. It's an attractive, comfortable hotel well located in downtown Seattle. The rooms are a bit generic and bland, as is the case with any city Four Seasons hotel I've stayed at (vs. a Four Seasons resort), but they are nice and well-kept. We experienced good service and enjoyed the lobby bar and restaurant. The hotel is walking distance to Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, downtown shopping, etc. Would stay here again.
"Great location but disappointing service"
The location is great. Make sure your room doesn't look directly at the smoke stack that blocks your view of the bay. The hotel is in need of an update. Almost looks seedy in the halls. The carpeting is very out of date. The service is sub par for a Four Seasons. Often there was no one at the front door and we had to struggle getting in and out of the door. The service in the dining room for breakfast again was not up to Four Seasons standards. The waiter forgot my eggs and brought me my bill without ever asking me if everything was ok. I didn't get a spoon for my oatmeal. They were out of coffee and hot water at the complimentary station both in the morning and for the good night tea. The shower is great. The hallways and carpeting look seedy and not of the caliber you would expect from a $640/day room. There was no coffee maker in room. I will not be staying there for our next visit to Seattle which will be in a few months as our son just moved there.
