"Great Location to See All the DC Sites"
Had a fantastic week in DC and saw all the major sites. The location of the Four Seasons is ideal. We walked to the Lincoln, Washington, and Jefferson Memorials. We even ventured onto the Space Museum and continued to Ford's Theater. Then we walked back and had happy hour at Tadich's Grill. If you are not afraid of doing about 15-20,000 steps you can eat all the deserts you want. Each day we started off with a terrific breakfast at the Four Seasons. The room was large and quiet. We had a sitting room and two TV's. Twice a day housekeeping. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit and make use of the terrific spa, jacuzzi, and lap pool at the end of the day. Many thanks to Concierge Jeff Morgan and his crew for all of their fine help in getting us tickets to special events and recommending and getting us into some great restaurants in Georgetown. This was an absolute dream hotel that had everything. Did I mention the attentive doormen who got us the umbrellas on a rainy day'
"Great location with excellent accomodations"
We loved this location in the Georgetown area as it is close to excellent shops and restaurants. We also found the Night Manager, Jad, a beacon of excellent service and hospitality! I personally found this property less friendly to small kids than most of the other Four Seasons locations we have visited, which is a fairly long list. As many of the others seem to go out of their way to welcome children we did not get this reception during this visit at this property.
My wife and I just got married. It was our second marriage and so we are blending families (5 kids ages 6-12). We wanted a honeymoon...so we had to settle for one night, our mini-moon. We were blown away by the quality of the rooms and the attentiveness of the staff. We had wine at ENO, then dinner at Bourbon Steak. Thanks for making our special night...special. We will be back soon for more than one night!! Cheers.
"Attentive service, and an actually helpful app!"
I stayed here for a private event held in one of the basement ballrooms. The attention to detail and service really sets this hotel above the rest. Espresso makers in the room are easy to use and deliver excellent beverages, and the little extras serve to make a stay extremely pleasant. My partner forgot to pack a tie and the Concierge desk walked three different options up to the room in the hour preceding our event that they were able to choose from and return to the front desk the next day. This kind of personal service reflects the guest-first standard that the Four Seasons has come to embody. A huge 'pro' (besides the obvious mentioned above) is the function and utility of the Four Seasons App, which I recommend to any traveler staying here or any other Four Seasons property. Most hotel apps offer little to no use outside of booking future reservations. This app allows for concierge reservations and room service requests to be completed automatically, without the need to call the front desk. I was able to order room service breakfast (with substitutions/additions!) from the app at 2300 the night prior and specify a delivery time (not just a window!). The food arrived exactly as requested at exactly the requested time. This company has really figured out how to make an app functional, effective, but not explicitly necessary to get the most out of your stay. The only 'cons' I would offer are minor in comparison to the overall luxury and service you get at this hotel: 1) The refrigerator in the standard room serves as the minibar, but there is no room to store personal items inside. 2) The door to the water closet off the main bathroom is translucent glass. This makes the use of the bathroom by more than one person at a time a bit awkward. Frosting that door would go a long way in the utility of such a well-appointed bathroom.
"Hotel in a great position - on the door step of George Town. The bar has a great atmosphere!"
Hotel is so well positioned to George Town - a great hotel - the bar has an excellent vibe about it, the dining room is a bit stuffy but the food is very good. The rooms are fantastic and extremely well designed. We had one with a lounge area to have a private meeting and that worked really well. I would definitely return to the hotel.
